Seriously, this guy at least gives credibility to the people who voted for Obama over him in 2008.

If anything the people of Arizona should be ashamed this guy is representing them.

Since the powers that be control both parties, it is near impossible to make a difference at the national level with a vote.
But if we make a difference at the local level, eventually we will have replaced the corruption at the national level.

If local citizens would absolutely be intolerable of any unconstitutional act, even to shed blood when necessary, leaders would follow the law or die. But when over 50% of the population are complacent or brain dead, and the public education system keeps teaching lies, it will take something more powerful than a vote to topple the regime.

Muerte Rosa wrote:Honestly when he says he's ashamed of the country i think he probably means more along the lines of how our government represents our country...not the individual citizens. I like John McCain. He is one of the few politicians we have that while he isn't perfect obviously....he thinks for himself and actually has this CRAZY thing called integrity. And one of the few who actually makes an effort towards bipartisanship.
Is that why his buddies in Syria like him..you know, those silly jihad dudes?

Of course his policies might result in a few dead Christians and Shia but at least it will poke Russia:

And if we wind up in war with Russia then maybe those of us with food storage will be in a cool spot when all our cities look like Atlanta, Georgia as depicted in "The Walking Dead."

Well, hopefully the more libertarian branch of the Republican Party in Arizona can use his insane comments to sink his campaign in the primaries.

Please educate me.
Why are you Americans so wedded to your constitution?
If it is really that good why has it had to have so many amendments?
Just curious.

27 amendments over a period of 220 years isn't bad, it's quite good.

Considering that 10 of those amendments were tacked onto the original Constitution in 1791.

And one amendment overturned another amendment (Amendment 21 overturned 18).

That isn't a lot of change.

Mexico's Constitution on the other hand, has this track record:

3 Constitutions of Independent Mexico, made in 1824, 1857, and 1917.

573 different changes in a period of 94 years.

So, USA: 16 changes in 214 years.

Mexico: 573 changes in 94 years.

I don't like John McCain. Had he won in 2008, we would be at war with pretty much every country in the world right now. He's also easily given to temper tantrums.

Christ gave us the Constitution....whats not to like about it?

D&C 101:80 And for this purpose have I established the Constitution of this land, by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose, and redeemed the land by the shedding of blood.

The problem is .... that Americans have allowed it to be altered when it didn't need to be. We were warned about this too.....

D&C 98:6-7 Therefore, I, the Lord, justify you, and your brethren of my church, in befriending that law which is the constitutional law of the land; and as pertaining to law of man, whatsoever is more or less than this, cometh of evil.

At the time He said this (Aug 6, 1833), there were 12 Amendments. It did not need anymore than 12.....and still doesn't.
