Also related to the law given unto the children of Israel in The Book of Joshua 1:6. ♡ :)

Joined together with what is known as "the foundation of the Church in these last days" or section 70 of the D&C where it is written that no one is exempt from this law who belong to the church of the living God, in your temporal things you shall be equal and this not grudgingly, for food and for raiment for houses and for lands, in whatsoever circumstances the Lord places you.

Should give understanding of the will of God for his children. ♡ :)

This is a pretty funny thread. No offense to anyone, but I find it somewhat humorous. Robert, your heart is in the right place, we can dwell in Zion personally until we can dwell there physically. The restoration is a process, not an event, we are taking steps forward and backward but at some point the Lord is going to prune the vineyard and finish things off. We're not there yet, but we can prepare.

I still like the great and wonderful "if" and the words of Jesus Christ that Zion could be redeemed even now. ♡ :)

Robert,

Question: God commanded Israel to build a tabernacle in the dessert using all the riches and spoils of Egypt. Why do you think God would do that instead of using all that loot to give to the poor and solve the poverty problem first and then do the tabernacle second?

Answer: the temple solves the poverty issues by addressing the virtue problems at the heart of poverty instead of just dealing with the symptoms of poverty.

Book of Mormon: Alma 46:40 used medicine to "remove the cause of diseases" and not just treat the symptoms.

Look deeply into Exodus, first and foremost before even one offering was to be given for the Tabernacle was the law of caring for the poor and the stranger in what is known as chapter 22 and 23 then once done in what is known as chapter 25 after that, was the offerings for the Tabernacle. Underline and highlight these things and always remember them. ♡ :)

People are held responsible for truth wherever they encounter it. Nephi, in ch 33 verse 14-15 tells us that we will be held responsible for the truth he has told you. He says He will be there at the judgement bar when one is judged. I believe that any beggar I encounter, will also be at the judgement bar when I am judged. I will want his report to be in my favor, just as much as he wanted my help here.

If you wish for an inheritance in the kingdom of heaven, good to give inheritances to the poor and needy among us here, as God has commanded. ♡ :)

Answer: You have be well fed first before it's time for dessert. Especially if it's rich.

So God did feed them before they built the tabernacle. ;)

one point for Robert. :)

No need for points, it is written that care of the poor and even the stranger among them was first. Then offerings for the tabernacle. ♡ :)

Sorry, but I like your tabernacle in the dessert idea. What kind of dessert? I'll take cherry cobbler. :-B :ymhug:

I truly would like to see us all one big happy family where everyone wants to see everyone happy and not oppressed or burdened or yoked by poverty or sin. ♡ :)

I have been blessed to have seen people who have enough to take care of thousands if they only wished to and know of myself that Jesus Christ does not lie. That there is more than enough and to spare. ♡ :)

All the prophet and apostles of this church have to do is decide yes there is plenty let's see that everyone is given an inheritance of a stewardship with a covenant and a deed that cannot be broken as God has commanded that we impart to the poor and needy among us.

Then watch as Zion begins to be redeemed before your very eyes, the windows of heaven would then open up and pour out such great blessings that there will not even be room enough to receive it all. ♡ :)

Many of the lost on forbidden paths may awaken themselves as they see true righteousness can bring happiness of keeping all the commandments of God given to his beloved son Jesus Christ to give to us. ♡ :)

Good, may The Council on the Disposition of Tithes take this matter up soon, of covenants and deeds that cannot be broken into the hands of the poor Saints sufficient for the support of their families speedily. The signs that the great and terrible day of the Lord comes soon are fast approaching. ♡ :)

If a few words spoken by J Golden Kimball were to be added to the slogan "Do It" what would we have then?

This thread has turned great!

My earlier comment about dessert and points was just for fun...sorry if it came across otherwise. I'm up for some cherry cobbler too. :)

May God bless this to be a pattern for the development of future threads. Seek understanding and avoid contention.

I do not know if most members of the church knew that J Golden was considered a "swearing GA". He was the seventh (Senior) President of Seventy. SEE: http://www.gapages.com/kimbajg1.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So, when we put "Do it" with J Golden's words we would have..."Do it, Damn it".

Beloved Peter was known to be quite the swearer, and he went forth to establish "all things common among them" and then went on to finally, heal the crippled and raise the dead, and be crucified following Jesus Christ. ♡ :)
