Are there conservatives who are not compassionate? Are there liberals who are not compassionate? Are there Independents who are not compassionate? Are there just people in general who are not compassionate people?

I distinctly recall a video in which Kissinger was jubilant almost boasting about Obama becoming President.

Been watching Jeb, in this respect, for a while. With the kissenger nod, seems like wolfgram nailed it.

Yes to all those questions. So many people who claim to be conservative these days though, have embraced some really un-compassionate positions. But not all of them by a long shot. You have a good point. Generalizations are generally a bad idea.

I'm not sure it's fair to assume he's a clone of any of his relatives.

And Bush (Jeb) is gaining the exact same donors that went for Romney in 2012 and McCain in 2008.

No surprise… we saw this coming a long time ago. Although, I’m not sure I’d want to be the one presiding over a nation that is in chaos (when the dollar is finally discarded and destroyed as world reserve currency and we’re left out in the dark with social unrest and chaos as our costs for just about everything will double or more). Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa (BRICS) and now 160 other nations are in the process of wrecking our financial system right now with their own clearing-house/bank with currencies backed by gold. The U.S. has little, if any – it will be found that the Emperor has no clothes.
