Apparently jdawg1012 doesn't like being outed as a gay activist?

My posts are full of points, they are just points that they know have more traction than their misguided and deluded agenda.

And, it is sad, because there are a significant number of people who do suffer from various conditions, including many who find their way into the gay culture, that merit special consideration. I would very much like to see a sincere, sensible and truly compassionate effort made on their behalf, but which effort would not in the least compromise the standards and integrity the Father's Plan requires.

I suspect that if there is a new revelation on the matter that it won't be very popular among most people.

I suspect you're right.

Well, that's always been the case, for the revelations/policy changes. Starting polygamy, ending polygamy. Taking the priesthood from blacks, giving it back. Heck, even adding carpet to the gyms, and then removing it for wood flooring, and letting women pray in conference.

I wasn't a member back when blacks got the priesthood, but dad was and 10 of my aunts and uncles were. And my in-laws. Some people were shocked, lots were outraged, many were content, and some were relieved. The case will be the same, no matter the policy change, or its direction, it's a common reaction when people are taken off guard by change. But some people see it a long way off, and are unfazed.

I haven't read through it all the way but have browsed it. Chapter 7 is right in line with my understanding of SSA.

I haven't read through it all the way but have browsed it. Chapter 7 is right in line with my understanding of SSA.

I've never dealt with the issue, so I was just curious what others thought who may be closer to it than I. As this purports to be scripture, it is the only one I know of which deals with the issue unambiguously.

It is much easier for me to believe that God has nothing to do with all this, than to try to get Him involved. Or maybe someone can explain the benefits of allowing such things to happen to a person. What could you possibly learn by being a male and thinking you're female, or vice versa? I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

I can't think of any excuse for letting this happen. And I don't understand why we need to ask God to tell the prophet something. Does He forget? There are countless other issues we need clarified, but get nothing from the prophet. We're left to argue on discussion boards.

By the way, I expect many such females have been given the priesthood. How do you sort that out? What happens when priesthood is given in error, and ordinances are then performed by a person with invalid authority?
