Hi all. I've been forum stalking for probably a year now. Just been searching myself a lot lately looking for the reasons I'm doing things and finding that just following all the rules isn't getting me anywhere. So I'm searching out truths and looking for greater understanding. I've really felt strongly that I need to start teaching my kids the and have realized there are many things we learn in church that I don't know as sure truths and a few things that I feel just aren't truth. I've enjoyed reading the discussion of many topics on this forum and think if there is anything I've learned for sure it's that I need to study everything out for myself and can only rely on the Spirit as a sure teacher.

I agree, Jem.
Study it out, and ponder/meditate and pray - best way to go.
And also if and when you come across some ugly truth in the church or in the country's history (& present) or your loved ones, remember that nothing's "all or nothing."
Nobody's perfect - take the good and beautiful truths where you find them and leave (or be cautious of) the rest.

Welcome!
I look forward to reading more of your perspectives.

There are really two main sources of truth in the world today. One is the LDS Church and the other is the John Birch Society. I have been a member of both for over 50 years. To save yourself and your posterity, one must have an agenda with each. Amerca is sinking fast into tyranny and the cost to save it is going to be horrific and the cost goes up every month.
