I'm trying to identify the painting that is hanging in the American Fork temple where the Savior is bent over in agony and an angel is by his side comforting Him. It is just beautiful and I would love to know the artists name or the name of the painting or some way to find it and maybe buy one or Atleast find the image online. Thanks guys! :)

I haven't seen the painting but it sounds like one by Carl Bloch. I have a small reprint of Christ in the garden being comforted by an angel and it is beautiful. I picked up at the BYU museum showing of Bloch's works last spring. You might look at his paintings, the church often uses reprints of his works.

LDS.org has a gallery of paintings depicting the life of Christ. Look there perhaps.

Is this it?

there are a couple of versions that he painted. You might want to google 'carl bloch christ and angel' and you will see other versions if that is not the one.

Sad. It looks like nobody here is in utah county. :(. It is not an angel with wings. It is a beautiful painting.. Sadly nobody, not even the temple workers seem to know who did it or how I can find it. Sad!

I think the painting you are meaning is also in the hallway at the St. George temple, just outside the chapel. I'd never seen it before it was put up after the last refurbishing in fall 2014. It is very lovely, and I also would like to find a copy, but for now, it appears it is only available for the temples.
