Hi!

I found this forum while searching for last days signs and preparation info.

Lots of interesting posts here that have made me think a lot this last week.

Enjoy and hope you find edifying posts. ♡ :)

Some like to play a little impish at times, as if this was a children's playground but in the end I believe they really do care one for another. ♡ :)

Mom, just be aware that this LDS forum has a lot of disaffected or ex- LDS who hang out here, so be prepared for a bumpy ride. Hope your testimony is strong.

The "last days" will likely be different for each of us, as we live in different places and different circumstances. Consequently, our prep and survival needs will be different.

I think we are to some extent already into the "last days"

Do you mind sharing what conditions you think you will most likely be confronted with ?

We live in west Texas, so our preparations will be different perhaps than someone who lives on the coast of California or Washington, for example.

We are trying to prepare with what we've been asked to have, following the Spirit as we do so.

Our testimonies are strong though we also know that many hearts/testimonies will fail men in the last days. Or they will fail their testimonies. Many will be led away. We are already seeing that happen with family and friends who are longstanding church members. We know it will only get worse as the days draw closer. There will be a sifting, we will have to choose which side we are on and ultimately will follow the Prophet or we will not.

Matthew 15:14
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,

8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

10 ¶And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:

11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?

13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
May we each be careful by taking the Holy Spirit as our Guide, so as to not be the blind lead by blind leaders.

One reason I believe Jesus used the metaphor of the blind men was to suggest to his followers that they examine their own hearts and souls before calling attention to the flaws of others.

Careful you call good evil and evil good, God is working his own strange act, let him do so with others who are lead to find their Savior outside the control of the church but within the confines of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, the only keeper of the gate.
