Honestly better than me, I can grow a mustache, but it's patchy. I don't even have the ability to get chops. But I can rock the neck beard, I might try to go as John Taylor.

If our perfect Heavenly Parents are hairy, then growing out our beards and leg hair will just bring us closer to them. To celebrate hair as a group, a number of blogs have assembled for a beard growing contest for men, and a Pioneer Woman (leg hair) contest for women.
Wow, cool. B-) Maybe I'll join the contest.
I used to only like beards on men it looked good on (which were few and far between in that day and perception) - but now that so many of my male friends (and male adopted family, including my awesome son-in-law) have them, I have begun to think that men ought to have beards, and that it ought to be the norm.

The Rules
the rules are as follows:
MEN: Pick a bearded Prophet, Apostle, or General Authority and try to grow a comparable beard. Please provide a picture of yourself, along with a picture of the General Authority that you are trying to look like. There are two bearded categories:
1) Beards that start smooth faced. Those that start smooth-faced must take a picture of their baby face with a newspaper documenting the starting date (Jan 1, 2015 or later).
2) Those that start already bearded.
WOMEN: Reconnect with your divinity by posting pictures of your hairy Pioneer Woman legs. Feel free to post before/after pics.
The contest ends January 31, 2015. Please submit photos by that date. Voting will begin on February 1, 2015.
(all my quotes thus far are from the link in the op. Emphases added.)

You mean he's the only man in your ward? ;)

Only one I could maybe pull off would be John Taylor's neck beard.

I put him at the end of the hall so i always see him. My mom did that when i was a teen so i had to do the walk of shame coming home from parties and look Jesus in the eyes. :ymsigh:
See - TBM shaming doesn't work. Jesus loved you, even when you were at the parties.

I love when my husband grows out his beard, although he keeps it pretty well-trimmed so I don't know if he could stand to pull off most of the pioneer beards. Orson Pratt's is pretty sweet though.
When I was in the MTC, my companion and I decided not to shave our legs the whole time we were there, mostly so we could talk about it and get a rise out of the elders in our district, but also because we had to wear tights everyday anyway and we weren't supposed to be worrying about dating or attracting anyone, so we figured we'd save the shaving time in the shower. We had some pretty good growth after those nine weeks

I certainly hope they didn't let him pass the sacrament or hold any callings with hair and a beard like that.

I keep my beard a little extra long (not Chad Clark long) for a number of reasons. I like it, my wife likes it and it also gives the rest of the ward members a tool to judge my level of spirituality. A bald head and thick beard can get you some interesting looks in the hallways.

As we all know it is a very acurate indicator. It's color is a reflection of your current level of translation like with Charlton Heston:

My wife commented last Sunday on the number of bearded men that have shown up in my ward recently. I told her I must have started a trend since when I first grew one more than a year ago no one had one. I endured all the silly comments and paved the way. (Joking)
