Former Nightwish star Tarja. Greatest Symphonic Metal singer ever.
Tarja is one of my all-time favorite singers. She is my top pick for Symphonic Metal, but Simone Simons and Floor Jansen are right behind her on my list.

Another one of my favorite singers that few have heard of yet is Melissa Bonny. She's already had a very interesting career as a singer and songwriter. She's performed in several bands, and currently is the Lead Singer for Ad Infinitum.

Here is a fun remake she did of "The Nightmare Before Christmas - This is Halloween" song. I figured it was appropriate to share this time of year:

She also did a cool remake of the song Toss A Coin to your Witcher song along with Ralf Scheepers & Nicolas Pelissier. Her voice range is absolutely insane. Here's that video:

Just to show you how extensive her voice range is just listen to this song:

She's the only other singer that I believe comes close to being on the same level as Tatiana Shmailyuk Ukrainian Lead Singer for the Jinjer band. There are other females that are in the same sub-genre, but I believe these two are the best at it. Enjoy! :)

I am not a fan of "Disturbed" nor other heavy metal bands; just not my thing. Yet Disturbed's rendition of "The Sound of Silence" resonates to my very soul. I can honestly say that it is the only metal song that makes tears run down my cheeks.

I still enjoy putting on my headphones to drown out the world and feeling as well as hearing this song.

I'm Definitely a fan of Simone Simmons and Floor Jansen. Simone Simmons backup singer Marcela Bovio is extremely underrated and really dominates on Ayreon's album The Human Equation. I really liked Sharon Den Adel especially on Within Temptations earlier albums. The Silent Force and Mother Earth are flawless. Wish they still had albums like that.

Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses

Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerer of death's construction

In the fields, the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning

Oh lord, yeah!
No more war pigs have the power
Hand of God has struck the hour

Day of judgement, God is calling
On their knees, the war pigs crawling

Begging mercy for their sins
Satan laughing, spreads his wings

Oh lord, yeah!

Nice, relaxing bluesy.

I like this one - maybe more ragtime?…
