Welcome Lewis,
I'm from the Portland/Metro area - not quite the area you are in. Have you noticed Robert Sinclair's posts? He's from Redmond, a little more east than I am. I would check out the National Liberty Alliance, check on Oregon and your county to find like minded (though most likely not LDS if that's what you are specifically looking for) people who are standing for the cause.
