Thought I would share a little of what is in "A Greater Tomorrow" for those who have not yet read it and would like to learn more.

Chapter One: The Day I Left My Body

It was September 28, 2004. I was hospitalized for a variety of health issues with the verdict still out as to what exactly was causing my various symptoms. I had partial paralysis on the left side of my body, migraines, mood swings, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, waking seizures, and a few fainting spells. I also suffered from severe memory loss and cognitive impairment.

The labs that came back indicated something was seriously wrong with my liver and other organs. I had elevated liver enzymes so high that doctors didn't believe me when I repeatedly told them I'd never taken any alcohol, drugs or anything else to cause this imbalance. To top this off, I had not slept for several nights straight.

September 28the was also the day my spirit left my body. This was the day that I "went to the other side." I had the very real experience of visiting beyond the veil in the Spirit World.

......(Chapter continues for several pages)....

Chapter 8: The Window Of Heaven

After I was shown my life review, I was taken to another part of the room and was told to wait for a little while. John left me in the care of a few kind women, and he let me know he would be back shortly. A few men and women came and went out of the room. I could tell important things were being discussed, but it was unclear what they were working on or discussing.

I did my best to be patient, but I admit that by this point, I was starting to get a bit antsy. I had just had my life review, and I knew I had several things I needed to work on. I had once again been shown more of what was going on at home and with my family. I was feeling ready to go back to my life.

John eventually came back into the room with a few men I hadn't seen before. One of the men asked me how I was doing and how I felt. I told him honestly. He then let me know it had been determined that I was to be shown more. He talked to me briefly about what he referred to as "The Window of Heaven."

He told me I would be shown many things, some of which were just for my knowledge and understanding. Other things could be shared with close friends and family, while some things could be shared publicly at some point in the future. He counseled me to use wisdom an discretion when sharing and discussing what I had been shown.

...

(later in Chapter 8)...
The room darkened and I began to look through the window. The scene started with a picture of what appeared t be random particles of energy floating around in space. It continued, and as the scenes progressed and changed, I began to notice that what I was seeing was what appeared to be an example of the beginning of the creation of the earth.

I saw that the earth had been created perfectly and that it is fulfilling its purpose. Everything about the earth, where it is located, its placement in the universe in relation to the sun, the moon, and other planets, and all of its beauty and the creations on it are part of God's plan. The entire earth and everything related to it was organized, created and is maintained by Jesus Christ. It was incredible to witness. I was only shown very brief glimpses of the phases of the creation and of the history of the world, but the overall message was very powerful.

I was shown once again that we shouted for joy when we heard of the Lord's plan (see Job 38:7). We were excited for new experiences, adn for the opportunity to come to earth to gain bodies and learn and progress.

....(Chapter 8 Continues for several more pages)...

I've read your book. I believe your account. It got really interesting for me about chapter ten. Everything else before that was essentially, for me, a repeat of what is scriptural history and probably what anyone who parts the veil receives. When Nephi parted the veil, he saw the vision of "all" as did the brother of Jared and many others. It fits the pattern as I have observed with those with similar experiences. They get to see the end from the beginning. I suppose I could liken it to receiving what is in the sealed portion of the Book of Mormon.

Rats, gone for one day and I miss all the fun Julie Rowe posts! FYi, Sis. Rowe, I'm friends with a woman in the ward who is trying her darnedest to find a way to get you to Denver/Aurora. She's part of the AVOW crowd and has contacted you about it, I believe.

Side story: I've been trying to get my house in order for around six years or so. No debt, low monthly payments, food storage, wise decisions, prayer, scripture study, etc. My passion has always been firearms so I put a lot of time and training into becoming a certified trainer so I could both improve my skills as well as teach others. All the while, my wife has been a bit on the sidelines for this whole process. Like, it's good that I was doing it but she wasn't really into it.

Well, we had a long drive to a consignment sale a few weeks back and I asked her if she wanted to listen to the radio interview with me. We popped it on, listened the whole way there and back, and by the time we got home she was totally on board and willing to put forth her own efforts to get our house in order. We started selling off things that we no longer need/use and have been using that cash to fill up our food storage, buy water barrels, prepare better 72 hour kits, etc. I set the pattern at first, giving up my tv and PS3, then she followed suit.

What's most interesting is the way she has changed the way she thinks. It's more forward thinking, and definitely a bit more "how would I do this if I had to do it without power/grocery stores down the street/etc. I think that's the coolest part. In short, the message has definitely changed our family. Pretty cool. And of course we pay a bit more attention to the Brethren and the scriptures now too, with a heckuva lot more "likening" going on.

I have not doubt that Julie Rowe is sharing an authentic set of experiences. What I do feel cautious about is examining someone else's inspiration in detail as if it applies to all of us. No individual's individual inspiration is meant to clarify revelations presented by our prophets or authorized by them. I may receive metaphors or details for myself, my family---however other people should not then look to me instead of the scriptures or living prophets. I think that's why we are to be careful about sharing our personal experiences. I am not criticizing Sister Rowe--I am suggesting we must be careful about using someone else's revelation for guidance rathr than seeking our own answers in ways we have been taught.
Some prophecies or revlations quoted in the LDS community have been specifically "de-authorized" by General Authorities after research into their origin.
If I have a spiritual dream in which I see blood in my street, I might want to share that yet it is not going to be an "answer" for my whole ward, for example, and may not have literal meaning.
So share--like here-sure. . .be cautious? Yes! Seek the Spirit and don't go beyond the part it testifies of--for us.
Thanks for this forum. . .

Is the LOVE FEST still going on?

The simple fact that she left the forums is proof enough of her character.

BTW dude she left the forums, so your post of welcome back is puzzling.

OH by the way I am working on a book and I am going to call it "Captain Obvious".

In my book I will be revealing signs of the second coming just a tidbit is below.

The sun will darken, the moon will turn to blood red and the stars will fall before his coming. (wow just amazing right.)
Also revealed in my new book. Jesus Christ will make another appearance on this earth sometime in the future. ( @-) )

And this just in, a great secret, that now you may find out in my new book coming soon. The only way back to live in God's presence is through Jesus Christ and only through him.

Look for the book coming soon called "Captain Obvious". Revealing things already revealed and making it sound new.

Are you for real? Did the Holy Ghost prompt you to say those Christlike things? I'm so sorry you feel you need to cut her down. Unfortunately for you I'm sure she is more than prepared for Those comments. I am also quite confident your disapproval won't stop her work or the work of those she's inspiring.

Thank you, Julie, for everything you have written, shared, discussed and openly talked about or typed! I am grateful for it! I started having dreams in 2011 that I was living outside - as in camping outside - and I didn't know what to make of them until I began finding other people online who were having the same dreams. Now people in my ward are having these type of dreams about living outside in "camps" of Saints and we all agree that these dreams feel like we got to live a few seconds or minutes of our lives in the future. I cannot deny that something is going on. Until I read your book I had never found anything that described what I had dreamed: peaceful camps, some bitter cold seasons and concerns because we had to eat small amounts of food so there was enough to last, Saints working together, staying together as families, etc. Even seeing a dog with our family that we did not yet own - but as of last month we now do! :-o

I want to especially thank you because your book woke up a very dear friend of mine. She had felt the spirit urging her to prepare since 2013 but she couldn't wrap her mind around why it was SO urgent. She read your book and now is loving reading her scriptures, learning about food storage and preparing both temporally and spiritually.

I'm awaiting your new book because I have so many questions. For example, are water barrels full of water transported? What about bags (year's supply) of charcoal? Are boxes of candles, batteries, cleaning supplies, medical supplies and other non-food but vital items allowed on the trucks? And what types of trials do we need to spiritually prepare for? Can you give an example of a life-or-death faith situation you may have witnessed? I'd also LOVE to hear what you know about the impact of having debt. What happens that makes Ezra Taft Benson's advice to "avoid debt as you would avoid a plague" so necessary? Sorry, I'm always full of questions!

And don't worry about those who don't believe you. I have a sister who likes to poke fun at the "food storage types"...while she quietly goes to Emergency Preparedness Fairs, stocks her pantry with food and water and thinks about maybe getting even more Thrive freeze dried food than she already has. She refuses to read any books and it seems the more we talk about these things, the louder she objects and mocks at family gatherings. But then she turns around and feels the spirit telling her to prepare so she quietly obeys her own personal revelation and her stockpile grows. It seems the act of talking and mocking help her identify the spiritual promptings she gets. :)

Yes, let's not have any opposing views here on the "freedom" forum. Lets go back in time to NAZI Germany and censor all speech. Any talk or dissenting views can be easily cleared out with the simple delete key. Then you can go on saying all is well in zion, all is well.

Ongoing--

Congratulations on working on your preparedness. Things like soap, cleaning and laundry supplies are good to have in your preparedness plans. Imagine living without them. Some kind of rope for a clothes line and/other things and clothes pins. Toiletries like tooth paste and toothbrush, shampoo and other hygiene items. Medications and first aid items. ( living in the wilderness, I think there would be more than average scrapes and bruises and broken bones.) Stress may be a problem. Also bug or critter bites. Mending supplies for clothing. Tools for fixing things are also very useful.

Another thing that very few people think of are things to control vermin. When a disaster strikes, the homes of bugs, snakes, rats, mice and other vermin are destroyed as well. After the L.A earthquake, there was a big increase in these types of critters coming out. In Florida, there was a big increase of alligators in and around homes, yards, etc. after hurricanes. There are many examples. Flooding drives them out in the open as well. I lived in Tucson, Arizona during a drought. Bears came out of the mountains in a hydrophobic condition from lack of water.

These are just things to think about and prepare for.

Another thing--Many people will not disclose their food storage and other preparations to others because they don't want people to know they have them for fear of theft. Perhaps your sister is in that category.

So is this one of those situations where dissent only works one way? It's ok for you to disagree with me, but not me with you? Interesting viewpoint for someone accusing others of Nazi-like behavior.

Nobody said all is well in Zion. I just see no reason for lengthy arguments or condescending remarks.

Hi Sis. Rowe!

I know this is a shot in the dark, but is there any chance the event could be recorded? Us folks out in Denver feel like we're missing out on all the fun! :)

BTW can't wait for the new book!

Thank you for your interest. I am sorry but the Lord has been very specific with me that we are not to record these events. At least at this point in time.

I do have family in Denver so it is likely I will be going there sometime next year. Just saw them in July so don't have any plans to go to Denver any time soon, but perhaps in 2015 sometime.

Thanks!

Julie
