No anger here. I was just trying to plan a fun get together for you and the rest of the Boise rednecks after the game. I figured it would be a great way for you sophisticated folks down south to introduce a little culture to us up here. Unfortunately, I won't be attending the game. I've lived in Boise for 10+ years and have never gone to a game. Even when they gave out free tickets to students (maybe they still do??).
And seeing how you refrained from telling me you like boobs because this is a church blog, then I will refrain from telling you that I like them too. =))

I also have liked Boise as of late but one has to admit they are currently going downhill.
It used to be that BYU beating Boise would be an upset. Now I'm not so sure and I would even argue the reverse being true if Boise defeats BYU it would be an upset.
BYU has to be careful though. They have the knack of beating an awesome school (like a Miami, an OU, or a Texas) only to be let down a couple of weeks down the road by a comparatively lowly TCU, Florida State, or (this year) BSU.

^^^^Agree completely!!!
Edit: For the record. I've never been a huge football fan and was/am a BSU bandwagon fan. I tend to plan things during Boise State games just because 80% of the people in the area will either be home watching the game or AT the game. A lot less people out on the street to deal with.

I personally don't like football - especially with how many injuries that result.
However, this made me smile out loud.

I couldn't watch 10 seconds of your video. That has been re sub lined for at least 43 different things I have seen, none of which did I like.
Football.
I could care less. I'm all in favor of PLAYING sports, but not sitting in front of the tv and thinking WOOF WOOF WE LIKE SPORTS.
Watching tv is couch potato, not sports.
College Football
My understanding, from my school, the University of Michigan, is that football there is ... BIG BUSINESS. I.e. it brings in millions, and gets people to come to the school worldwide and pay the ridiculous tuition fees.
I would like to see the balance sheet that shows that the school pays for ANY part of football. I'm sure football could buy and sell the rest of the school, not that they do or would.
Alumni of the school donate MILLIONS at a time, and watch the football. I suspect that is one reason they do.
The school receives a BILLION dollars a year or so for 'research' and again I suspect that the football fame helps bring that in.
Yes, there is a good school there, associated with that football team but I wonder what part of that goodness is due to the fortune and fame the football team brought in for so many years.
Yes what it says here is the football team pays for all the other 31 teams the school has. They sell premium boxes at the stadium for $55,000 to $85,000 and have a sold out waiting list.
They fill the 110,000 seat stadium for every home game. They charge for tickets. If you make a donation, you get a ticket (minimum amount?)
So if you are on the girls volleyball team at Michigan, the football team paid your way (other than your tuition.)

God has a football team. And even though I'm a devout member of the Church and always will be, I have to admit that God's team is the University of Notre Dame! Just saying!

Blasphemy:
Attributing something to God that God has nothing to do with.
D&c112:
24 Behold, vengeance cometh speedily upon the inhabitants of the earth, a day of wrath, a day of burning, a day of desolation, of weeping, of mourning, and of lamentation; and as a whirlwind it shall come upon all the face of the earth, saith the Lord.
25 And upon my house shall it begin, and from my house shall it go forth, saith the Lord;
26 First among those among you, saith the Lord, who have professed to know my name and have not known me, and have blasphemed against me in the midst of my house, saith the Lord.
Good luck with the cleansing. I hope that pledge and vengeance isn't too painful.

Thinker, I laughed out loud at the video. I have not seen the re-subs of this that David has, so it was not redundant for me. I am absolutely NOT a football fan, college or pro.
The reason I found it so funny is that my husband had a business partner who is an AVID BYU fan. When he started making enough money that he could go to some BYU home games, he was in heaven. Then when he made even more money, and could start going to selected away games, sometimes with his adult son, he knew he was living large.
When I saw the BYU schedule at the start of the season, I sorta felt like the guy in the youtube video, thinking about how dejected our acquaintance must be. Btw, he and his son went to California for the game BYU lost by one point. What a waste of time and money, in my ever-so-humble-opinion.
Note -- a couple of years ago when I was visiting UT, several Stakes in Provo rescheduled their Saturday evening Stake Conference sessions to early Saturday afternoon, because BYU had a home game that evening. B-)

How do you know God isn't a football fan in general, and a Notre Dame fan in particular? Have you talked to Him about it lately?
Have a little humor in your life; you might find it a little less stressful to laugh at life once in a while.

I was laughing the entire time I wrote that cuz it just fit so well.
I imagine God is a fan of any activity were we play and have fun.
There is a big difference between fan and fanatic. Like most "fans" are.
I would imagine God is a bigger fan of games where both side pay for fun not to win. As all gods children just like are own ,always winners in our eyes.
I can't see him being a big supporter of games that makes losers out of his kids as he wants us all to be happy. Not just half of us.

Its also ok if the people of the State of Idaho wants to pay for BSU football!
Hmmm, lost that site link!
Anyway it commented on the fact that Idaho residents would scream holy terror if they knew how much of their tax money went to supporting just BSU football, and how little goes to the other state universities.
Oh well, se la vie!

Looks like they are going to need more tax dollars to recover from the loss to Utah State blowing the doors of of Boise lol
time to raise taxes in Idaho

I wish we as a people would do the same. We can't even get along with our own team mates in the lds church.
I guess that's why God said if ye are not one. Ye are not mine.
