Seeking to Understand My Mission on Earth

Post by BrotherOfMahonri »

Hi. I'm a nobody, let's get that out first. Now that you know I'm a nobody. So are you :). And you and I will always be nobodies until we allow God to make us somebodies. God uses us nobodies to help each other become somebodies. So with that intro, please let's help eachother by not flattering one another, but loving each other enough to speak the truth as the Spirit gives us our portion of the truth, so that we can stop living below our privileges and start truly building Zion - so desperately needed in this darkening world.

God has given myself and my sweet companion wife a witness of his willingness to prosper us as much as we put our trust in him.

God has awoken us as a couple and family temporally, and we are now on a long journey of being awoken spiritually, the scriptures are more alive to us in ways we never knew possible.

I am an open book. I don't think you can offend me, but I do know you and I can offend the spirit when we allow pride, knowledge, wealth, poverty, traditions, media, and many other things to numb our perception of the Holy Spirit (which perception is so key to our making it in these last days) - which when we numb the spirit we are open to being deceived. I am always wanting greater light and knowledge, and I love to share the fruits I am getting from the spirit as much as the spirit allows me to, as life is about people and helping one another make it back home to higher and holier places - and whether you think you or I will be just fine if we just life a good life - keep in mind man cannot be saved in ignorance, so knowledge is a necessary piece to one's being exalted to the highest of spheres and continuation of the family unit.

Again, I am a nobody. Don't want to be an anybody, but somebody God can use for his work, to lift some soul to him.

Welcome to the forum.

I am a somebody which is a great gift the Lord has granted me. I understand that I will always be an unprofitable servant just as a toddler is unprofitable to a parent. I will give nothing to my Father except the opportunity to chase after me, to try to keep me out of trouble (huge difficulty), and to clean up the messes I make. And yet he has given me the blessing of knowing that I am precious to him and that he rejoices in my triumphs just as a parent rejoices when their little ones learn to walk, talk, and conquer their trials in life. I bring him joy.

I was impressed by the gift that the Lord has granted you. It is an interesting one. I was not given that gift but instead have learned the lessons that come from learning you were deceived and learning to overcome those deceptions. Life is a wonderful adventure.

So glad you are here.

Thanks for the reply. I like that you said you are a "somebody which is a great gift the Lord has granted [you]". Agreed.

I am always seeking to understand this gift, as it has been perplexing of late esp. with my two youngest siblings, siblings that my wife an I have helped raise over the last 10 years - as my father was not an active part in their lives (he divorced our mom when they were really young).

I hope to post more on it and get other's perspectives to see if anyone else has this gift or understands it better than I do.

Thanks for the reply.

Good on you budy/nobody. If you have a fear of the Lord you are doing better than most.
Psalms 111:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

D&c 64:23 And to others the discerning of spirits.

Welcome You are going to need that gift of discerning on this forum which includes all types some very friendly, and WarMongers and Grim Reapers.

Thanks for the input and scriptures. Agreed, and thanks for letting me know that I might run into WarMongers on this forum. I am to love those WarMongers according to the gospel of Christ - so I'll start by being cheesy and letting you know I love ya... :)

Thanks for the welcome. My wife has really appreciated your perspectives on your blog and I have personally shared some of your insights on your blog with my siblings, esp. my older sister, as those particular insights were helpful to them in their understanding both themselves and their experiences as well as understanding why we are where we are at.

Thanks again.
