Look like most of you guys are Utah variety - so I will try to break the mold. We are now in North Central Arkansas; moved from a town of +60k to a small 1500 person "village" 3 years ago - got here by chasing my Patriarchal Blessing. My wife and I have 5 girls from 14 to 2 on a old 250 acre farm we are trying to resurrect. We have the best neighbors - a whole Amish community in our back yard and actually have the best gospel discussions with them. We have been bless with a good job (better than 95% of the people around here) for this area and trying to learn the way of the farm. After a couple of years the Stake caught up to me and made me the Branch President (hardest and most rewarding ever) and it seems I never have the time to implement all the plans I want too.
like most of you all here it seems that we are all want to be at the ready - I love to "war game" ideas in my head of possible outcomes that align themselves with what we all know is coming. I like to see other peoples ideas on deep doctrine, but don't like to conjecture on which way the gates of heaven swing - I believe that we as a whole miss out on the fundamentals from all the deep wading we like to do (but it is fun).
Personally, I have a morbid sense of humor and a sarcastic streak that comes out a lot. My weekend driving Jeep has a "Zion's Camp Recon Team" and "Teancum's Hearts and Daggers Brigade" on the side that really only other members know what it is, when they ask about it - especially the Missouri members I tell them "we will be able to advance from the south after all you guys get wiped out" - most of the expressions I get are pretty hilarious.
I will mostly just mill around and check things out and if any of you guys are out east and need help just yell out.
