New to Utah- Springville area

Post by tyheid8020 »

Hi everyone. I usually do not like to post on forums like this, but I love this site and the Spirit is prompting me to get on here and introduce you all to myself and my family. We have recently moved from Phoenix area and now live in Springville, Utah. We would love to meet some people that are like-minded so if you live in the area let us know.

First off, a good friend of mine got me started on my search for truth about 8 years ago when he introduced me to Ken Bowers' amazing book "Hiding in Plain Sight." That book, along with many others like Jack Monnett's "Awakening to Our Awful Situation" helped me see what is really going on in America and across the world. My wife was skeptical about what I was learning at first, but through study, research and a lot of prayers we found that we were being led by the Holy Ghost just like Moroni 10:5 promises.

I am a longtime subscriber to Joel Skousen's "World Affairs Brief" and love reading his insights into the news and what is really going on in the world. My wife and I are long-time Ron Paul supporters and voted for him in the Republican primaries in both 2008 and 2012 elections. We love the Constitution and we know that it is indeed hanging by a thread. We have learned the truth about 9/11 and are very grateful for the wonderful work of Dr. Steve Jones and others. Like I said in the beginning, I love this website and have been reading all of your posts, comments, articles, insights, etc. for many, many years. I like to read and learn from all of you and I am not much of a poster. I am very grateful to Brian M. and Connor Boyack (Connor's Connundrums) for you amazing websites. I have been reading and learning from those two sites for years. There are so many amazing people out there that have influenced us in our studies and we are very grateful to all of you. I threw out a few names because I know some of you are on here and I wanted to thank you. Hopefully we can meet someday.

I was a high school Social Studies teacher for a lot of years. I have some health problems and was getting tired of teaching, so I prayed about what else I could do and the Spirit led me to Utah to go to Law School at BYU. I finished my first year recently and we are really enjoying being here in Utah (in fact, if I can find a job here we would love to stay). My wife and I have one young son and a daughter coming in September. My wife is a Dentist and is now working one day per week at an office in Payson. If there are any other like-minded couples in the area, we would love to get to know you! It is always nice to have friends with similar views and unfortunately we have not been able to really find any here in Utah yet.

Thanks and Sincerely,

Tyler Heid

send an email to this address and ask to be added to the email list. Its for events....none in the summer, but monthly throughout the fall, winter, and spring.
I am from Gilbert, AZ. I could not live where you do due to BSL laws...but it was among the top of my list in UT.

Thanks for your kind and insightful comments, ty.

You have named several good friends of mine, like Jack and Joel, and I look forward to meeting you someday.
Did you know that Jack Monnette was recently elected Mayor of Spring City, Utah?

Uglypitbull- Thanks! I have been to a few meetings for the Highland group and love them! My wife and I usually listen to them online since it is tough to take our son every time. I am definitely on the email list though. Do they ban pit bulls in Springville?

Steve- I had the opportunity to meet Jack Monnett a while back and I did learn about him being elected as Mayor. He is so awesome. I look forward to meeting you sometime.

Jules and friendsofthe- Thanks! Good to be here!

Last I checked they required a $100K insurance policy per dog among other nanny rules....ridiculous! I get up there to the Highland meetings from time to time...depends on what the topic is. I'm an hour south of you, so I get snowed out a few times in the winter months. I have a good friend that lives in Springville...LDS and not fully awake, but definitely a solid dude to have one ones side. We should meet in the fall when they start them up again.

That's crazy about the pit bull laws. We will definitely have to meet up at the Highland meetings. Talk to you later...
