SO HAPPY TO BE HERE! Please read and introduce yourselves!

Post by MichelleTumes »

Hello all!
I can't believe I didn't discover this place sooner. I thought LDS "freedom" forum equalled political discussions. Haha. So I avoided it as I am not interested in politics<---not that there's anything wrong with that. ;) One day I was studying the second comforter and this site came up. I was enthralled with the light! So many beautiful and inspiring testiomies! So I spent a lot of time lurking, reading and finally have decided to introduce myself.

I am a homeschool mom of 5 at home(1 grown). I teach Sunday School and love it! I have several friends and family members who have received baptism by fire, including one of my children. Over the last eight years or so I have diligently sought this but have yet to receive it. I have received beautiful gifts though. For the past six months I have been impressed to study the second comforter, I'm not sure why as I have not yet received the first? I am filled with desire though and like a child learning new things I am very excited! I have a big life story but am not comfortable sharing it publicly. I would LOVE to discuss gospel principles with like minded people!

One thing I will say, I firmly believe that the heavens are as open today as they were in Joseph Smith's day. I felt the passing of Eldred Smith last year was significant and although I couldn't put my finger on it, something changed. The air feels different and I am ready to get to work! I have a lot to share and even more to learn! So excited!

Thank you!
I think I successfully requested access to the Heavenly Gift area. Haha. I'm new and not very smart with navigating this stuff. I look forward to inspiring and enlightening conversations!

Welcome!!!

The Lord showed me in the scriptures that I could see Him in this life 2 years before I knew what the Baptism of Fire was so I truly believe He can guide us to work in any order! Knowing He is right here next to us always has helped me hear the still small voice more clearly. It is incredible the paths we take to get back to Him!

How wonderful that you know people with the BofF! Wish I had some close to me! I'm kind of on my own around my ward. ;)

Hi Michelle!

I also felt that the passing of Eldred Smith was significant. Then I learned that he was the fourth generation church patriarch from Hyrum Smith. With his passing, I believe, it was time for us to have another chance at building Zion.

Welcome to the forum.
