Hi everyone! I am so happy to have found this place with so many in depth topics of the gospel. I feel like I have discovered a treasure chest where my mind can feast on endless new ideas and insights that I never heard/thought of before. I'm loving it! And seriously, some of you are so well versed in the scriptures, it's really impressive! I look up to you and hope to be there some day soon. I titled my introduction "golden year" because I hit my golden birthday this year and my husband kept saying, "it's your golden birthday, it's your golden birthday!" And so I was like, "Ok, and what does that mean?" He said "nothing, (besides that the age and date line up) just that it was cool" but I decided to give it a meaning and make it my year where I strive harder than any other time in my life to come unto Christ. But man, and I know it's not just me, but I swear the harder I try, the more I feel like Im full of imperfections. I read something the other day about how when we come closer to Christ, we are more sensitive to the spirit and thus more sensitive to our imperfections. So I guess it's not such a bad thing, just means I'm heading in the right direction!
Anyways, a little bit more about myself. I'm a California native, been married for three years and have a little one year old. I've always loved talking with people about the gospel but felt that it was hard to find people who enjoyed talking about it as much as I do. And that's why I'm so happy to find like minded people here. What started my "awakening" was after I read Visions of Glory. I know some people kinda scoffed at the book but it was a godsend for me at the perfect time. It helped get through a very difficult time, gave me hope and helped me look at life on a completely new spiritual level. It made me feel that I personally have so much spiritual potential and has really made me want want to be a better person in every way. I can't wait to learn more from you all! Thanks for accepting me into the club!
