Hey guys, my name is Tanner. I've been snooping around this forum for several months now and finally decided to become an official registered member. I like being able to discuss things with people who have their hearts set on the same thing, even though they may have different viewpoints. I hope that all future discussions I have can be civil and edifying.
About me: Though I was born in the church, I feel like my conversion really took place in my teen years. I tasted the goodness of Jesus Christ, and gospel study became my favorite pastime. After my mission to Brazil, I became more and more cynical toward the foibles of Mormon Culture and various practices. After a significant faith crisis, I found myself seeking anew the truth that had once enlightened my soul. The search has not been in vain. I feel a renewed confidence in my ability to have a personal relationship with God and to feel His love and guidance through the ordinances of the restored gospel.
Here I am now, a fellow seeker of truth, a committed disciple of Jesus Christ. I don't know much, but I know that Jesus is the Christ and that He knows us. I look forward to learning and discussing with you.
I also should mention that since the 2012 election, I have become fascinated with the principles of liberty. I was active supporter of the Ron Paul campaign, and I continue promoting principles of freedom.
