I am a recent convert to the Church, baptized and confirmed just this past February. Long-time interest in the Church, however. I've been lurking on here for several months. I know there is a stunningly broad range of viewpoints in the forum from TBMs to self-professed apostates, which is fine by me. As for me, it was through the missionaries that I heard the voice of my Shepherd calling me and I feel as though I have come home after wandering in the lone and dreary world for a very long time. Before joining the Church, I was thoroughly acquainted with all the difficult issues that have challenged the faith of so many. Been there, done that. Suffice it to say that I sincerely love my new LDS brothers and sisters and I am secure and happy in my faith. May Heavenly Father's blessings be upon us all.

Welcome to the forum. There are many diverse opinions here...especially for an "LDS" site.

The great thing about being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that you are free to be whoever who you are, and all people are different and accepted
sadly, differences arent often celebrated by all members, but that, again, helps make up the broad and colorful landscape of our church
we can all disagree, and all have opposing opinions on any given topic
There is one thing that holds true, the old saying "Mormons are a Disappointment"
and that they are. meaning nobody is perfect, and though we think we all should be, no member is.. though many think they are..
we are all just regular people, though some members dont feel they are normal people, but better than everyone else.
we are from every walk of life, as diverse as the population of Planet Earth.. and we all make mistakes, and fail to live up to perfection, and the idea that Mormons are perfect.
its Obedience and Fidelity and Loyalty to Christ and His Commandments which unifies us all
