I've come to this forum over the past couple of years and read posts from time to time, but I seldom get a chance to write and contribute. I finally caved in and decided to register. I may not get a chance to write much, but occasionally I will respond to some things.
I've seen my name appear in these forums from time to time. Mostly it has been because mention was made of one of two books I wrote and published. The first is called
The Hidden Things of Darkness. The second one is called
A Glorious Standard. I have many other projects I've worked on off and on for some time now, but I'm not sure I'll ever get to finish them. We'll either be in the Millennium and it will be a moot point by then anyway, or I'll simply grow older, and maybe a little wiser, and will realize that all of my theses were wrong to begin with
So, I'm glad to be here and hope to contribute in a meaningful way.

Christopher. When I saw your name I thought...."How do I know that name?"...oh yeah...I read your book! Wonderful book. I read it (hidden things of darkness) once through and want to go through it again slower with my scriptures out and mark...and to put in references. More than anything it is an important work in my estimation for how much it uses the Book of Mormon to truly expose the enemies of Christ. I'll have to pick up your other book as well.
I am glad to have you in our company.

I hope you will at least post some thought provoking discussions. We are in need of a little revival here! Nice to have you.

Welcome Chris,
The person that started this forum, Brian M., I met in 2006 at a "Cleon Skousen" meeting just after Cleon Skousen’s death. And I believe Brian to be one of the most active supporters of Constitutional Study as inspired by Cleon Skousen.
The JBS and the National Center for Constitution Studies, NCCS (a creation of Cleon Skousen just after the demise of the Freeman Institute) have a lot in common. I have also talked to Zeldon Nelson of the NCCS and shared much information with him, and find the JBS and NCCS very compatible in their objectives.
Anyway, this Cleon Skousen inspired forum, thanks to Brian, is where I believe you can meet many of the finest Constitutionalists anywhere. Unless I have chased them all away with my posts.
Looking forward to your participation.
God Bless,
Darren

I wondered if that was really you! And it is! How exciting. I loved your book, "Hidden things of darkness" it opened my eyes to a new way to read the BOM and it was amazing. Thanks!

Thanks for your kind remarks about my book The Hidden Things of Darkness. If you liked that book, you might like A Glorious Standard, too. Any member of the Church who will take the time to read even a portion of that book will come to the conclusion that the Constitution was and is important to the prophets. And if it's important to them, it should be important to us, too.

Both books are an absolute must read. I am working on getting a couple of indy LDS book stores to carry them, I hope all of you will as well.

I will have to hunt that one down... I am in a bit of a frugal situation for a bit, so hopefully I can remember that you wrote another one.
My husband is reading The Hidden Things of Darkness at work. So he has not finished it yet, but his co-workers pick it up from time to time, as well as his BOM.

I don't yet. I would like to get it sometime as I hear it's a great collection of prophetic statements on the constitution. I'll put it in my queue, which is getting too big!
