I for one love Michael Ballam. I have heard him speak several times, and have a couple of his talk tapes. So keep the avatar!

Or maybe they are just jerking your chain. I especially liked the reference about your name spelled backwards.

What I did was got a real estate license, Learn to broker deals. I do industrial and office buildings and land sometimes. The best way to get started is go door to door asking everyone if they need more or less space for the business and find it for them. Learn who the owners of buildings are and sell them what they are in to. Rise some money by doing this and find some people you can buy properties with, that you trust. I basicaly have live off of the crumbs of wealthy men tables. I am ok with that I do not have to be the biggest player in the game I just want to be in the game. The key is ownership of assets and you do not need 100% ownership, sometime 3 to 5 percent ownership in many different assets is not a bad thing. It is passive income coming in that counts for me. Commission checks are cool ,they are some of the biggest checks with your name on them that you will ever see but that is it, it is over with you gotta go struggle and fight for that next check. I am down with that sometimes but I like owning pieces of buildings. As long as you keep your buildings full and expenses down you should bring in money.

I am cheap and a big saver too....

I do not know what I will do with myself if I totally quit which I could not anyways because that is not something I could live with. I have to be doing something. But I am definely not working all 12 months...I want to play a little more. I do not know...My father retired for 3 months then went back to work 20 years ago...I think it is in my blood to work. I am happy working.
Unless you have young children, maybe missionary work or humanitarian work would be good for you while you are 'retired'. :)
