Let's see here - I am a fairly young man, 27 in human years, married, with two beautiful children. I moved to AZ for a teaching position, but decided I could not survive in the school system as I witnessed it - so I am back in school pursuing a pharmacy degree.
I originally hail from WY, served a mission in Paraguay, and spent a short stint at BYU before deciding it wasn't for me (I got my BA from the University of Wyoming).
I am also relatively new to the "freedom movement." I don't even know if I would be here right now, but a friend mentioned the name RON PAUL to me offhand one day, and I started listening to what the good Dr. had to say, and I really liked it. The first politician in a long time that really sounded to me like he wanted to defend the Constitution. I started reading talks from President Benson, and some of Cleon Skousen's books, among others. Seeing how the media treated Dr. Paul during the primaries really opened my eyes to how much the mainstream really despised true, conservative values.
At the same time, at a point the "freedom movement" started to be somewhat of an obsession for me, at which time I had to admit that any idea, even fighting for freedom, if taken to unhealthy extremes, can have ugly side effects. I will not say that I accept any and every "conspiracy" out there, but I am happy to discuss issues that are not normally treated by our severely controlled MSM. I will say I come from a "prototypical WY Mormon family" in that, growing up, I thought it was a sin to be a Democrat, and was more or less taught to treat with disdain and belittle any ideas that were not in step with "Republican" values. I have since come to really resent this teaching. I know there is definitely good and definitely evil out there in the world, however, most humans tend to be a blend of the two. Therefore, I like to try and take the good from any discussion and not assume that having a disagreement means one has to be absolutely right and one has to be absolutely wrong.
Thanks for having me!!
