Have you ever met people where you knew that they used to be your friends in the premortal world?

I have met quiet a lot where I recognized that we have been friends before.

In such a vast universe I find it such a special thing to know that we do not "travel" all these worlds alone, and it feels a great blessing to know that friendchip has such a great meaning even beyond life.

I personally have connected with people that way as well, such familiarity, it is a wonderful experience. I have also, met one who rebelled with Satan, he did not have a body, a spirit, but I knew him and our once friendship. When I saw him I knew immediately who he was, his name and that he was cast out. They are both here... some mortal and some spirits who we had associations with, friendships and deep profound love and respect for.

I can't say I have a vast array, but there is one specific person that was confirmed to me that we were friends and I made certain commitments. She is not a member of this church, but is Christian. The idea of pre-mortal life is completely foreign to her.

There are others that I highly suspect, but haven't had the same witness. At times I want to play it off as "oh, we have similar personalities, it's natural we would get along", but with God there seem to be no coincidences. There are reason for strong connections in this world.

I ponder often, if the veil was rent, how much I am surrounded by those I've always known.

Did you ever get the chance to talk with him about his decision to follow satan?

It wasn't a nice meeting, I awoke with him laying on top of me, choking me, his forehead pressed against mine, staring into my eyes. I called him by name, I just knew it - I recognized him, I asked him what he was doing. He spoke to me, told me he was here to destroy me for following Father, to stop my work I came here to do, I knew of our prior friendship and that we were close and of the bond we once shared, I knew that he had fallen with many we cared for and loved, but did not know why nor did I ask why he fell, I knew that I fought against him personally in defense for the Kingdom. Several times I called him by his name commanding him to depart, to get off me in the name of Christ, to which he finally did leave me. He was angry with me, full of bitterness, and engulfed in misery, nothing about him was good or wholesome, the light he once possessed was stripped from him and was void of any compassion, love etc... He was no longer the person/spirit I once knew. I didn't question him beyond his intentions or contend with him about his message, once he told me what he was here for I dismissed him and commanded him to leave. I do not say his name here, or in conversation, to do so would be to give honor to him, to which honor he has none. His name has been blotted out from heaven forevermore.

Thanks so much for sharing. Most of those I know are not members. My girlfriend doesnt even like religion, but I still know that we knew before we came here, and this knowledge has such an intense effect upon how I view this relationship.

One person I met was a poor, old man... I only met him a short time on my mission, he never got converted, but I still feel it was a very presious moment to recognize him

Yes I have. I believe that sometimes our pre-mortal connections are not just with people we click with but many times our children, parents and actual siblings.

Is there no hope for such souls?

Definitely. I recognize people all the time just from their appearance. ALL THE TIME. When I was younger I used to always say confidently, "Oh, we knew each other before this life..." Maybe I realized it weirds people out so I usually keep it to myself now. My patriarchal blessing says that I will often remember people AND PLACES and know I have been there before, thus this is a reminder of the covenants I have made to Father in coming here and doing all I can to return to Him. I thought that was really interesting when I first heard it at age 14 cuz I was already recognizing people and having dejavu about places often.

Something weird about me is that MANY people who see me or meet me for the first time say we have met before and that they know me from somewhere. People in public take second glances/looks at me often. I always just say, "I have a really familiar face for some reason. Everyone tells me that."

Do you think you might recognize places also from your premortal, spiritual work you may have performed? Or do rather believe in it in terms of mmps?

I believe I did help others go through that mortality as a spirit, I got the impression though I have been here before as a mortal being

When I was going through the Abrahamic trial of my life, my old home teacher and his wife helped me and became my lifeline. They told me one time, that the reason, they were going out of their way to help me was because they had a witness that we were friends in the pre-earth life, we shared the things we are about to experienced on earth and they promised that they will help me when the time comes, and they did.
