Old Testament Question????

Post by Elias Returns »

I am looking into purchasing an companion study guide to the Old Testament for this year, what do you recommend and why? I have Isaiah covered with the complete works of Avraham Gileadi. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Sidebar: how do you like AG's books? I just priced them all this morning. Does he repeat material in his books or is it worth buying all of them? I would rather not pay for more than one book if they cover the same subjects, keys, etc.

Brother,
I will put a list together for you. Some do over lap each other, so I will review and report which ones have more redundancy in them for you. I am going through "Isaiah Decoded" the fourth time right now.
Here's Brother Avraham's site that also may help you. http://www.isaiahexplained.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I have had the privilege of becoming well acquainted with him this year, and spending a few evenings with him in some amazing discussions. It is amazing that he and Denver are standing in witness, all the while teaching the exact same principles and truth in their speaking engagements, without ever meeting or speaking to each other.
Avraham and Spencer are collaborating on some work that will be presented to the World and Church members in a couple of months.

I really have enjoyed some of Avraham's books. I am especially curious about this David fellow. I wonder if Avraham thinks he knows who he is, or if this David fellow will ever approach him….kind of like that Sara Menet claims to know who the anti-christ is. (I don't know what to think of her, but Avraham I believe is very accurate in his writings)

Thank you, I look forward to it! Yes, the overlap/redundancy is what I was curious about. I'm not entirely opposed to buying them all and reading them, but my stack of books to read just keeps growing. I have been to that website many times and am going through each of his chapters, too. Avraham has another excellent website like it. I'm not sure why they are separate, though. But it's definitely worth visiting and studying:

Elias Returns: I don't want to miss this about Avraham and Spencer! Do you know how this will be made available? And where?

Strong's Concordance with Hebrew and Greek Lexicon - Or you could just use the online version. The reason is you are able to look up the original Hebrew words to discover their possible meanings as well as what other verses those hebrew words have been used. Is is VERY enlightening, especially on verses that are contradicting/confusing. I have found it very helpful to understand the way a particular word has been used and all its possible meanings while going through the old testament.

Peace,
Amonhi

Like the word "rib" that Eve was taken from, it's root meanings using the lexicon dictionaries (several meanings but I like this one best) means chamber, could be a bridal or side chamber from where the bride is taken. Female and Male or fe'male and m'ale, fe'male meaning light receiver and m'ale light giver. When Adam called her name Eve, the word called is also to endow, a root meaning of the original word used. The lexicon is interesting, and sheds more light and with the knowledge of the gospel it will help put together the words and their root meanings into what the scripture is discussing, more knowledge within.
