While at work today, I was pondering on what a fellow brother has said on obtaining a person's C&E. A sweet peace came over me as I thought of these questions to ask Father.

There are 3 suggested questions that are suggested means to the fastest way to make one's Calling and Election sure. These are:
1. Have I made my calling & Election sure? Wait for a response if you get a negative response, then ask...
2. May I have your promise, right now, that I will receive Exaltation & eternal Life? Wait for a response...
3. And only if you get a negative response ask the following...Who do I need to "become" to be worthy of the promise? Wait for a response...

I am sure there are many here who have the same question I do. Have I received this? What do I need to do to receive the Doctrine of Election as Joseph Smith, Paul, Peter, Nephi, Enos, ETC...... have preached about.

I am starting a fast this weekend to obtain an answer from heaven. Would anyone else like to participate in this? This invitation is welcome to all. Those who are looking for an answer, and those who have already received their answer please pray with us, for us.

This week will be full of heart felt prayer that Father will speak with clarity to me(and all others who wish to participate).

I feel a brotherhood(sisterhood) on this Forum and have grown to love many of you. Please consider me and those who are searching in your prayers.

An Excerpt from Oliver Cowdery’s “General Charge to the Twelve”


You have been indebted to other men, in the first instance, for evidence; on that you have acted; but it is necessary that you receive a testimony from heaven for yourselves; so that you can bear testimony to the truth of the Book of Mormon, and that you have seen the face of God. That is more than the testimony of an angel. When the proper time arrives, you shall be able to bear this testimony to the world. When you bear testimony that you have seen God, this testimony God will never suffer to fall, but will bear you out; although many will not give heed, yet others will. You will therefore see the necessity of getting this testimony from heaven.

Never cease striving until you have seen God face to face. Strengthen your faith; cast off your doubts, your sins, and all your unbelief; and nothing can prevent you from coming to God. Your ordination is not full and complete till God has laid His hand upon you. We require as much to qualify us as did those who have gone before us; God is the same. If the Savior in former days laid His hands upon His disciples, why not in latter days?

The Spirit is working through us. Time is short; and those who are awakening are being prompted to do things which help themselves and others to accomplish receiving those very specific blessings we need to withstand what is coming. It focuses our energy for a specific purpose. Because we have come to realize that in addition to checking things off of our list (the carnal aspect), that the spiritual needs to take place. We have come to recognize that if we haven't seen God or His kingdom, that what needs to take place has not yet taken place. It indicates that we are determined in our desire for this most important event. To do so collectively, in addition to singularly.....this was an inspiration. It is a manifestation of the spirit of prophecy which can help to edify one another....not in accordance with correlated material prepared a year or years in advance...but in accordance with what the heavens deem we are ready for.

We have the gift of the Internet now. Though the Internet can be used for both good and for bad; THIS thread can edify us in a grander way than a face to face manner. This forum helps us to do the same. It is being used in the way Paul taught. This is as it should be.
