Oh my gosh, I experienced the same thing! Hours wasted "bible bashing" and the spirit doesn't seem to like that game much.

I like the doctrine of how inteeligence cleaveth unto intelligence. As closer as we come to God''s intelligence, as more will we understand "real proof". Scienstists will find proof for their theroies within science, robbers will find proove that their lifestyle is right being amongst robbers.. Evangelists will find proove for their beliefsystem while interpreting scriptures with same minded intelligences. They all find proove, some even within scriptures, but still get it wrong. So, our only chnance to truely receive proove for anything real is to connect with heaven. Our intelligence has to cleath unto God's. This will open our eyes, and we will truely see things in a totally different light and understanding. We see through heavens eyes.
