Joseph Smith Quote Help Please!

I'm preparing a lesson about temporal and spiritual self-reliance. I JUST saw a great J.S. quote on here a few days ago but can't find it now.
Something about - people want all the nice and fine things in life right now -- but first seek the Kingdom of God and THEN you will have all the milk and honey you want.
Anyone??

I have sent you to the post where we corrected the source as not Joseph Smith but instead it was Sydney Rigdon. So be sure to quote Sydney and not Joseph.

That would be awesome. I don't remember the last time I heard Sydney quoted at church.

No kidding. Yet how frequently do we hear, incorrectly, that he was trying to become the next prophet? I heard that on Sunday. I think we'd do good to lay off the guy. He died with his testimony of the restoration intact, and his was a much greater one than I can bear.
