My Father's Lamanite heritage

I'm glad to be a member of this group. I've been LDS for 33 years after being Catholic for 22 years. Life is rich and full of knowledge and enrichment once you find the correct path. I graduated from a Catholic midwestern university in political science, theology, and history. My conversion to the Church came 5 years later as my struggle for greater light and knowledge continued. My searching was over when I found the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

"Sogwali" is only my username. It was the name of an old Cherokee warrior and scribe that I traced out through genealogical studies. There is a book about him titled, "Tell Them They Lie: the Sequoyah Myth", based upon an important truth in Cherokee history.

There is much more, and all that has happened in the past pertains to us now.

Welcome Sogwali. Hope you enjoy your visits. Always good to have new members. I'm from Australia myself and love this site. Learnt heaps.

So by way of getting to know you,
Who do you hope wins the election?
do you think 9/11 was an inside job?
Do you believe that there is an elite who are trying to bring about a New World Order?
Where do you see things 5 years from now?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you Bridgey for your comments. Ya' know, I've always been impressed by our buddies from "Down Under". You guys are clear minded and very strong in your beliefs. "Crockodile Hunter" was one of the best characters on television. By the way, is that a picture of you on the bike? It looks like you're in first place!

The way things are shaping up, this election may well be the last one in our history. I don't look for this country to crawl out it alive.

I don't like McCain, he's too old and, what's worse, he's too uncertain about what he thinks. He's going to be the Republican candidate not because he earned it, but by default. He's in over his head, he's out of touch with the reality, and he has no constituency. Conservatives think he's too liberal and the left has accused him of selling out to George Bush---that leaves almost no one to vote for him. Regardless of what the polls say now he's going to sink like a rock in popularity after the Democrats meet this summer in convention.

Clinton should have been burned at the stake many years ago. Obama? It's becoming obvious that he'll get the nomination for the Democrats. His style is impressive, he is a fine orator, but I don't like his words.

I placed my hopes on Ron Paul, but he got flushed down the sink by biased media. That's what it's like in this strange country as it is now---and it'll get worse.

I'm predicting that Obama will win the election, but I believe that he'll get shot right afterwards. There is enough corruption in this nation for anything evil to become possible. After October the first of this year I can see greater darkness coming upon this land. There is much to atone for in America and the "grim reaper" is at the doorstep.

Five years from now the saints will have recovered from WWIII, re-gathered from the places of refuge, and possibly on the journey to NEW JERUSALEM. They will converge in Missouri at Adam-Ondi-Ahman about the same time when the Russia, China, and many other countries of the world will be clobbering each other at Armageddon.

Regarding the New World Order, it will never be. Orson Pratt saw the last of the global gadianton, the Rothschilds, etc, making a desparate escape to Israel with their loot, about the same time when the massive assault takes place, to finally be destroyed forever--and good riddance!

Welcome!! Your post makes me want to try to find that book and read it.. although my reading list is still quite long. I am reading "The Revolution: A Manifesto by Ron Paul".

I am interested in the source of your information that you posted about Pratt as well. It is something that I thought on my own, but would be cool to see someone else thinking it! LOL
