Aussie, there is less info on me here than on Facebook, which also has very little. Now if Daryl started asking for my social security # and my mother's maiden name, then I'd start to worry. But there are also psychos and stalkers out there, too.
Leth, been there, done that. SDCC and more.
Jules, those pictures are awesome!

Coachmarc has a grandbaby?? He's like 20.
Jules - love the pink hair. When I was at BYU about 12 yrs ago I had a few small pink streaks underneath my long blonde hair. I got kicked out of the library and they put notes into my student record that I was an honor code violator and I was on probation. I couldn't use the library anymore!! I was an editor at the Daily Universe and my superiors had a good chuckle over it. I came back to the library with my hair tucked up in a baseball hat and didn't have any further problems. Don't you know that pink hair is of the dark side??

Thank you! I LOVE colored hair - but I'm well aware of that silly stigma it carries.... 8-|. So I've stuck with my natural red (minus the gray......) for the past couple of years.

Colored hair carries a stigma? Who knew? Well, ok, a hundred years ago, it did, but so did wearing makeup. I guess being the daughter of a beauty shop operator; colored hair has been a part of my life from birth! The only color I've NEVER done is black. I've gone red quite a few times accidentally. Did green once accidentally. Not a good color on me. :ymsick:

I wear an invisible wig.
It hides my invisible hair.
The hair that is not there.
My invisible wig I'd glady share.
Except with Daryl.
Everybody would stare.
I for one would not care
With Daryl my invisible wig to share.
So there.
Suddenly I feel like dr. Seuss....without a fine head of hair.

I thought it was on this thread - must have been another one currently going on here - anyway, he said he's 44. I knew he was just a couple years younger than me. But the 40's are the new 20's, right? RIGHT?!? :ymparty:

LOL, yup! 40 is the new 20. At least that was my motto four years ago. Now I am twenty with twenty-four years experience. It was all that clean living, clean eating, working out since jr. high and just taking good care of myself. I was in construction for twenty years, a general contractor about half that time before I closed my doors and became a certified personal trainer, which has kept me very active. So that's a little more about me. I became a grandpa a little early in life, being an adoptive father to two boys from their early teens. Today, I work a simple graveyard shift and manage my personal training biz on the side. Here I am last winter bent pressing 100 lbs. The weight doesn't look like much, but it's a 45 lb olympic bar with a couple of 25# plates and a couple of 2.5# plates, which are barely visible. It's a an old school style lift from the 1900s.

Thanks for the compliment! B-)
When I returned from my mission, I seriously considered attending BYU because of my interest in the Book of Mormon and gospel doctrine. I was following in the footsteps of Hugh Nibley. I don't know if I would have enjoyed the environment if this is just a hint of what it's like. Seems like an "outward appearance" kind of place. I'm sure I would have loved the classes, though. I think.

I'm liking the actual pics here instead of the avatars that are normally up...also interesting that some posters that I thought were older appear to be much younger and vice versa or look totally different than what I imagined.
This is a fun thread

Well, in case it wasn't obvious, my pic is at least 20 years old.

Well, a few years ago back on AVOW I "came out" with my real name and real pic too, I think it was even before Daryl started the FNC over there.
But I've decided that when one reaches a "certain age", such things don't matter much anymore. Hey, really! Who wants to look at a seriously over-the-hill geezer with an "invisible wig" (thanks, N_S!) and more hair on his chin than on his pate anyway! Besides, as avatars go I think the Savior looks far better than me any day...
BTW, since I actually got to meet ARP in person last nite, and Daryl too, I think she looks pretty nice, and Daryl, well he looks just like Daryl!
Hehe, sorry Daryl couldn't resist, just poking a little fun!!

Hey, it's an elite club. What can I say? You either submit to the rule or you can't join.
Bonus praise for:
First name as username.
First and last name in your signature line.
City and State in your profile.
City and state (or similar) in your signature line.
Ward and Stake in your signature line (not recommended, but laudable).
Real photo of yourself as your avatar.
If anybody is so interested in me, or I so interested in them, we can find those things out privately.
I don't trust the publicity of the WORLD WIDE WEB.
I have been stalked before, and I also have had threats and people have tried to find personal info about me to use against me.
There are some who have suggested laws against online anonymity but I wouldn't support them.
It may be considered cowardice to use a shield when going to battle, but so be it.
Jesus was called worse.

I look forward to seeing many go from employed to "well experienced professional looking for new challenge".
Maybe more of you will also be typing "I am_no longer_a Mormon."
Advice. DON'T use your name, or location.
And continually lay a false trail as to everything about you.
Don't think I am kidding either
I believe you.
Unfortunately, there are strong strings attached to membership & consequences when questioning questionable harm.
Besides, as repeately implied, "appearances don't matter" - especially when we're married & the focus is discussion, not sex or style, attraction, etc.

They are pulling the loophole to pay tithing direct to slc like they used to thanks to posts here and one or 2 other forums.
If you don't think one day you will be in a high council meeting that has print out of every post, with no context, where you replied "yeah, done nothing to earn title of p,s or r, etc, you misunderstand the mindset of a fundo LDS morbot who will "protect" Zion and gods kingdom at all costs.
You think because you are moderate compared to me that makes you moderate. Ha. They wont print my posts and by themselves they aren't even close to moderate but extremist.
