Chicago cops pull over internal affairs chief's car; niece behind wheel reportedly says 'My auntie’s probably your boss' after passenger tries ditching 84 heroin packets - TheBlaze

When Chicago police on Feb. 1 pulled over a Lexus belonging to Yolanda Talley, their new chief of internal affairs, Talley wasn't in the vehicle — but her niece was, along with a male passenger who tried to ditch 84 packets of heroin valued at $6,300, the Chicago Sun-Times reported, citing police records and a source familiar with the investigation.

What's more, Talley's niece — who was behind the wheel — told cops "my auntie’s probably your boss,” the source noted to the Sun-Times.

Ukraine's parliament votes to allow citizens to carry guns, act in self-defense amid Russian invasion. Gun stores are already bustling. - TheBlaze

As Russia continues to threaten a full-scale military invasion, the Ukrainian parliament on Wednesday approved a draft law giving citizens permission to carry firearms and act in self-defense — and within hours, gun stores were bustling.

Reuters reported that the draft measure was approved on "the first reading."

Its authors reportedly stated in a note that "the adoption of this law is fully in the interests of the state and society," adding that the law is needed due to "existing threats and dangers for the citizens of Ukraine."

The move comes only days after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered "peacekeeping" troops to the Russian-speaking regions of Donetsk and Luhansk in southeastern Ukraine. Onlookers, including President Joe Biden, called the brazen maneuver the beginning of an invasion.

Russia has been massing troops on its border with Ukraine for weeks and has recently begun threatening war while continually insisting there are no invasion plans. But as of Wednesday, as many as 80% of Russia's approximately 150,000 stationed troops now appear to be in ready position, a senior U.S. defense official warned, according to the Hill.

Biodiversity: The Genetic Takeover Of All Living Things

Two eye witnesses and participants at the original Agenda 21 conference in 1992 also participated in the Biodiversity Convention that ran in parallel. They wrote in their 1994 book, The Earth Brokers,
“Neither Brundtland, nor the secretariat, nor the governments drafted plan to examine the pitfalls of free trade and industrial development. Instead, they wrote up a convention on how to ‘develop’ the use of biodiversity through patents and biotechnology.” (p. 3)
Patents and biotechnology? That’s not your grandmother’s biodiversity. They continued,
“The convention implicitly equates the diversity of life – animals and plants – to the diversity of genetic codes, for which read genetic resources. By doing so, diversity becomes something that modern science can manipulate. Finally, the convention promotes biotechnology as being ‘essential for the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity.” (p. 42)
And they shockingly concluded,
“The main stake raised by the Biodiversity Convention is the issue of ownership and control over biological diversity… the major concern was protecting the pharmaceutical and emerging biotechnology industries.” (p. 43)
Note carefully that ownership and control over genes was not a side issue or a minor stake: It was the MAIN STAKE! Note also that the main actors were the pharmaceutical and emerging biotechnology industries.

Vaccinated People Highly Prejudiced Against the Unvaccinated — But Not Vice Versa — Study Finds - The New American

Researchers Alexander Bor, Frederik Jørgensen, and Michael Bang Petersen surveyed 10,740 people in 21 countries, asking them if they would “be unhappy” if a hypothetical individual randomly described as either “fully vaccinated” or “unvaccinated” were to marry one of their “close relatives.” (“Exclusion from family relationships,” they explain, is “a standard measure in studies of prejudice.”) They also asked whether the respondent feared becoming infected with COVID-19 as a result of mingling with the hypothetical individual and whether the respondent considered the individual “unintelligent” or “untrustworthy.”

Gov Refusing to Send Water to California Farmers Amid Drought, Prioritizes Protecting Endangered Wild Fish

The US government is refusing to send water to California farmers amid the third year of severe drought in the state but is using the water to protect an endangered fish.
The majority of US fruits, nuts, and vegetables are grown in the region.

Ernest Conant, regional director for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation issued a statement about their refusal on Wednesday.

“It’s devastating to the agricultural economy and to those people that rely on it,” Conant said. “But unfortunately we can’t make it rain.”

Hidden camera catches teacher saying conservative Christians 'need to get COVID and die.' Now she's on administrative leave. - TheBlaze

Hidden video caught a Colleyville Middle School teacher telling colleagues that political opposition to COVID-related mandates has prolonged the pandemic — and conservative Christians must pay.

The video was obtained by conservative radio host Dana Loesch, and the teacher who made the horrible accusation is named Lisa Grimes.

"We have a political system that will not allow us to [inaudible] so we’re vaccinating like the flu, which is, you know, get the flu vaccine if you want but you can’t — don’t ‘tread on me,'" Grimes said in the video as another colleague talked over her. "But it’s too late. It would have had to have been immediate. If we would have done it immediately, it’d already be gone. "

"That’s what’s frustrating. The rest of my life is impacted because of politics? Because of conservative Christian crap?" Grimes continued. "I’m telling you, those conservative Christians, they need to die — they need to get COVID and die."

Ex-clerk of SCOTUS contender said to primp her Wikipedia page and degrade those of her competitors

A statement sent to the outlet by former Johnson clerks who were granted anonymity said Godi had edited Jackson's Wikipedia page "as a matter of course" for several years, but insisted Jackson was not aware of Godi’s edits on the pages of other judges.

Politico reported what it considered to be a "pattern" of changes, noting that Jackson's page was edited to "paint her in a more favorable light for a liberal audience, while the pages for other potential nominees — South Carolina federal district court Judge J. Michelle Childs and California Supreme Court Justice Leondra Kruger — were altered to make them potentially less appealing to a left-leaning audience."

Penn. Lawmakers Must Not Let Pitt Bury Barbaric Experiments On Babies

Outside of a few prominent figures, criticism at the state level has been relatively sparse, and Mihalek’s silence is particularly deafening.

Revelations about the University of Pittsburgh’s fetal tissue research exploded onto headlines last fall with physicians going so far as to suggest the institution may have received organs that were extracted from live fetuses. Others speculated that tissue may have come from abortions that violated federal anti-trafficking law, as well as other ethical standards.

In the controversy’s wake, Republican state Rep. Natalie Mihalek, a Pitt alum who sits on the university’s board of trustees, announced a purportedly “independent” investigation into the university’s fetal tissue research, stating that “it is vital that these questions are answered surrounding this.” In doing so, she lent a pro-life face to an investigation that received an array of criticism over its efficacy and independence.

Horowitz: Time for red states to declare energy independence and thwart Biden’s embargo on US production - TheBlaze

Biden can keep his windmills and solar panels and keep making us beholden to Putin’s petro-tyranny monopoly; we will use our God-given resources to become independent and lower consumer prices. That in a nutshell needs to be the message of GOP governors.

Whatever one believes we can and should do now to deter Putin’s growing hegemony, American and European leftists are the ones who empowered him to begin with by funding the solar and wind energy boondoggles while declaring war on fossil fuels. God has given America enough fossil fuels to support all of America and Europe and make Putin a nobody. One of Trump’s greatest successes was the amazing oil and gas miracle, which charted us on a course to being within a few years of full energy independence. Biden reversed all of that. The only way to neutralize the fallout from Ukraine that most directly affects Americans – exacerbating already skyrocketing energy prices – is by unleashing the states to declare war on Biden’s war on energy production.

The War on Cash Entering Bold New Phase - The Daily Reckoning

But in reality, the so-called “cashless society” is just a Trojan horse for a system in which all financial wealth is electronic and represented digitally in the records of a small number of megabanks and asset managers.

Once that is achieved, it will be easy for state power to seize and freeze the wealth, or subject it to constant surveillance, taxation and other forms of digital confiscation like negative interest rates.

They can’t do that as long as you can go to your bank and withdraw your cash. That’s the key. In other words, it’s much easier for them to control your money if they first herd you into a digital cattle pen. That’s their true objective and all the other reasons are just a smoke screen.

Health Insurer: Government Is WRONG on COVID-vax Side-effects; Real Numbers Are an “Alarm Signal” - The New American

As The Epoch Times reports:
The insurer, BKK ProVita, concluded that the rate of vaccine side-effects is several times larger than earlier reports from the Paul-Ehrlich Institute, a German federal agency, according to a letter from the company (pdf).

BKK board member Andreas Schöfbeck told Die Welt publication that the data is an “alarm signal,” adding: “The numbers determined are significant and urgently need to be checked for plausibility.”

… The letter [embedded in tweet below], written by Schöfbeck, said BKK analyzed doctors’ billing data from 10.9 million insured people, finding that of that figure, some 217,000 received treatment due to vaccine side-effects. Overall, in Germany, which has a population of about 83 million, the Paul-Ehrlich Institute reported 244,576 suspected cases of COVID-19 vaccination side effects in 2021, the firm noted.

… “If these figures are applied to the year as a whole and to” the entire population of Germany, Schöfbeck estimated, then “probably 2.5-3 million people in Germany been under medical treatment because of vaccination side effects after [COVID-19] vaccination.”

Such conduct warranting the same expulsion granted to suspected terrorists include those who’ve resisted compliance with mask requirements, which made up nearly three-quarters of airplane disputes last year, according to data from the Federal Aviation Administration published by CNBC.

Doctors sue California for threatening to punish them for not facilitating assisted suicide | Just The News

California doctors who object to assisted suicide are fighting an amended state law that implicates them in their patients' intentional deaths.

They are suing California officials, including Attorney General Rob Bonta, Department of Public Health Director Tomas Aragon, and Medical Board members to block SB 380, which made it easier for patients to commit suicide under the End of Life Options Act that took effect in 2016.

The original law issued a broad exemption for healthcare providers, granting them a liability shield for "refusing to inform" patients about their right to physician-assisted suicide and "not referring" patients to physicians who will assist in their suicides.

The amended law removed it, leaving providers vulnerable to "civil, criminal, administrative, disciplinary, employment, credentialing, professional discipline, contractual liability, or medical staff action, sanction, or penalty or other liability."

Conscientious objectors are suffering irreparable harm to their free exercise of religion and speech, the suit claims, seeking an injunction and declaration that the law is unconstitutional under any application. California is infringing on their "right not to speak the State's message on the subject of assisted suicide."

California weighs punishing doctors for challenging 'contemporary scientific consensus' on COVID | Just The News

Democratic Assemblyman Evan Low's AB 2098 "may" be the subject of a March 17 hearing in the Assembly Committee on Business and Professions, where it was referred last week, according to the legislative history.

The bill, which was cowritten by five other California Assembly and Senate members, goes beyond regulating how California doctors can treat their own patients. It opens their statements about COVID — public or private — to review by the Medical Board of California and the Osteopathic Medical Board of California, with possible sanctions to follow.

"Existing law requires the applicable board to take action against any licensed physician and surgeon who is charged with unprofessional conduct," according to the legislative counsel's summary, and the bill would "designate the dissemination or promotion of misinformation or disinformation" about COVID as "unprofessional conduct," without specifying what's prohibited.
