NULLIFY OBAMACARE IN UTAH
Great news, Legislation has been introduced to nullify Obamacare in Utah! This is something members of the John Birch Society have been working hard on the past couple of years, and (working with a few allies) have a sponsor to introduce the bill. This is not just a resolution, but a bill with "teeth" that would make it a criminal offense with stiff penalties for any state or federal official that tries to implement Obamacare in our state. There are so many reasons why this is so important I am sure I don't have to tell you, however, if you're not sure what is so bad about Obamacare, or you want to understand some aspects that the media isn't talking about check out our action page here
Our efforts to ensure the passage of this bill have multiple aspects that we need your help on:
1. We are setting up teams in each legislative district to visit/call/write their legislators to give them the tools they need to support this bill. You can be a part of these teams by contacting me bturner @ jbs.org
2. We are setting up teams in each legislative district to visit the neighborhoods of legislators to get the support of their neighbors (people the legislators see all the time at Church, local events, etc) so that they will put more concentrated pressure on the legislators. 3. A media campaign including billboards to build wide public support/awareness of the bill to prevent a veto from Governor Gary Herbert. Governor Herbert has promised to enforce all federal laws, we need this to help him understand and stand up for the Tenth Amendment to the US Constitution and that the people of Utah want Obamacare nullified to prevent his veto. We need to raise at least $4,000 for this campaign and we need to do it fast with the session closing in just over a month. You can mail a check written out to "Salt Lake Speakers Bureau" and mail it to Utah JBS PO Box 701 West Jordan, UT 84084.
