LDS FF LGBT advertiser???

Post by Daryl »

Just wondering what you all think about this LDSFF advertiser. Funny to me that they would choose to advertise with LDSFF. Is there something I am missing.

For those of you who can't see the image above, here is some of the content of the advertiser's website:
With a monthly pledge automatically charged to your credit or debit card, you'll have a major impact on HRC's work to secure legal and political protections for LGBT Americans. Joining Partners is also the greenest and most cost-effective way to contribute to HRC.

Google serves up ads based on keywords. The site didn't seek out ldsff for advertising. They set up an adwords account and created a campaign to advertise on sites that contained certain keywords. Many of the discussion threads on ldsff that touch on topics related to lgbt issues might trigger such an ad.

Forgive people...

This.

Ads based on the content of the threads - or on the content of the sites the user has been perusing (or, perhaps, a mixture of both).

Like others have said.. .it's Google Ads. No one specifically is choosing to advertise on this site. Google is displaying ads either related to the content on the page or based on sites the person has visited.

I like rainbows

Post by Daryl »

I like rainbows. It's God's promise he will not flood the earth.

BTW - JS prophesied there would be a time before Christ's return when there would be no rainbows. What happens then???

The President of Iran says there are no "Rainbows" in his country, perhaps a sign of the times? A 12th Mahdi?

I get all kinds of LBGT ads from websites, I guess they can read my mind...

Daryl - the reason the flood occurred in the first place was due to the rainbowing going on before the flood. According to the talmud, the earth was destroyed the first time due to official state-sanctioned gay marriage and violence and one other reason. God hit the reset button. GBH had the artist take the rainbow out of one of the paintings in the endowment room of the Nauvoo Temple. That sourced from a friend who knows the artist. Was not impressed with what it symbolizes these days.... And that was before the Prop 8 smackdown....

I've heard this but never found a source, do you have one?
