I had one.

)
I am taking the loss of America quite hard, it's getting harder to justify paying taxes and doing anything that may support our governments in the insanity they pursue, and I'm past being willing to move somewhere else, I'd do it if there was a better alternative.
In light of end times events, would the state of Israel be a better option? Never been there, just follow it through the political press, I know they do socialized medicine, but Bibi could only be elected in 1 country anymore, jew or no.
As I have mentioned before, my endtimes fu is rather weak. Is this a real no-go situation or is it reasonable if I was in a position to do it? (not asking anyone to decide for me, just let me know what you think).

Out of the frying pan into the fire...
The lord is still waiting for the Jews to offer their sacrafices in righteousness... Most jews today are secular and only jewish by birth and tradition. A large portion of the jews immigrated to Israel from communist countries and brought a lot of those ideas to their new homeland (remember kibbutzes). Just like our pilgrims they have been slowly learning the errors of these social ways.... but they still have a long way to go
Israel and America may be zion.... but they both still have a long way to go... and I'm sure many cleansings before they reach their potential.

George Clay

D&C 87:6 And thus, with the sword and by bloodshed the inhabitants of the earth shall mourn; and with famine, and plague, and earthquake, and the thunder of heaven, and the fierce and vivid lightning also, shall the inhabitants of the earth be made to feel the wrath, and indignation, and chastening hand of an Almighty God, until the consumption decreed hath made a full end of all nations;
The decree has already been made. It will cause the end of all nations. America, Israel, every single one will end. I don't really see much of point from moving from one to the other.

Mexico is nice this time of year...if what I read is right there will be a massive movement of Lamanites to the north, marauding on the Gentiles.

That has already happened. There are many of our Lamanite brothers who have come north to join us.

Personally, I believe the Jews will not offer up their sacrifices in righteousness until Christ saves them from destruction on the Mount of Olives and then are converted. Could be closer than you think.

I know this feeling so well. I've always been a hard working citizen of this country and recently I've been feeling like... what's the point. I pay taxes on property I apparently own yet the crazy smart meter people can come onto my property and I can get arrested for trying to stop them. You work hard to earn your salary yet the people next door collecting government assistance while watching their favorite shows all day. For some reason they even have a better car then you do. It's really screwed up and not how I was raised.
Sometimes I want to throw my hands up in the air and leave it all behind and go completely off grid. But then again they will eventually find you...

I wouldn't. America is still the land of promise, with wonderful promises yet to be fulfilled. Thank goodness.
Israel is also a land of promise, but IMHO it's still safer here. Some places.
Did you hear/see/read Elder Holland's CES address last fall? It seems pertinent to your question:

I also am taking the loss of America quite hard. I have been watching it somewhat helplessly since 1949 thereabouts, when I first concluded there were traitors in our government. For decades I thought it was communism, and only about 20 years ago began to realize that what we now call globalism is the goal of them traitors in Washington and elsewhere. The good Brother Benson had it right when he said "A secret combination that seeks to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations and countries is increasing its evil influence and control over America and the entire world." Control of wealth and control of government; that's the name of the game. At this point I believe only the "cleansing of America" will enable a turning around. And I think we need to prepare a remnant now to restore the kind of government the Lord wants us to have.

Agreed. I think part of that is that we as a nation need to get very uncomfortable before we'll recognize and turn back to the Lord.

Where did America go? Here's an example... I teach only gifted students, IQ 130+. Friday, I was having a discussion with some 8 years olds about career options - (can never start too soon with these guys). One boy said he wants to be a rock star when he grows up so he can be like his uncle and make lots of money... The other boys says, "My mom says she'll pay for my first tattoo whenever I'm ready." I was glad it was Friday. Whew.

All of what is going on does indeed wear a person out to the enth degree. It truly does make a person want to throw their hands up in the air and say "I AM DONE!!!" I try to spend my time [what little bit of time I have left after WORKING all day long] trying to improve myself, continue on with my preparedness, spend time with my family, try to be a good example to others, read, attend church functions and go to the temple, I try to spend more time doing my genealogy, and prepare lessons for my primary class and V.T. I might suggest, if you do not have little children, or if you can get a sitter, working in the Bishop's Storehouse or possibly seeing if you can work in the temple or try improving your self reliant type skills. If you don't already know how, learn how to sew or crochet, make soap, make butter, bake bread, make a brick oven, or learn how to cook on an open fire, my goodness, the list of possibilities are endless. I know the service aspect of it does help to take your mind off of the ugliness of what is happening all around us, and helps us to focus on what is still good, and the blessings we still have and are yet to come. I especially like to write in my journal and record the events of our day, my feelings, what I see, and what I hope is yet to come, and how I look forward to that day. I also spend more time praying and talking to my Father in Heaven about what I see, my fears, what I look forward to, and asking what more I can do to prepare myself and family. In the end, we already know who is going to win....it is just difficult enduring the hardships and sorrows while we wait for the Lord to come. Hang on tight to the iron rod, and never give up, and never give in to despair. Lift up your eyes and heart to the heavens and lean on your Savior so that your burden may be light, and he will lead you along and provide succor to your weary heart.
Good luck and hang on to the faith my friend. :ymhug:

Thank you, Heartsongs! I love your post. Being prepared both temporarly and spiritually are also on my mind a lot. "If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear." is my guide post. I guess I must not be prepared enought, because I do fear - especially for my family, who are mostly not members of the church.

There was a member of the forum some time ago that said:
"I don't have a mortgage. I don't file tax returns. I don't have an employer. I don't have a Social Security Number. I would never own property in my name because of lawsuits and anyone that does is foolish in this day and age."

I don't recommend going this far, but it is going off grid.

Finally, something to cheer about

I do not think that many events between now and the collapse of the globalists' program will be anything to cheer about . We generally have failed America by not being united in upholding and defending the Constitution of the United States, and have also largely ignored the warnings about secret combinations among us striving to gain control over our government and steal our wealth. Some LDS people seem to think that "living the gospel" minus the above will somehow compensate for these failures. I do not.

The events? by themselves, maybe nothing to cheer about. But as the scriptures keep likening it to labor... yeah, the labor itself isn't what we cheer about, but what it represents progress towards.
