Hello
I am a northern Minnesotan who originally is from east Tennessee. I was raised in the restoration with the Church of Christ (TL), also known as "hedrickites". I am currently not associated with any church group and consider myself at the call of God in that regard. My main interest in this site is to discuss prophecy and see/learn the views of others on the times that seem to be upon us. Thanks ahead of time!

Re: Hello
Welcome brother or sister.
I love how you put that. There are many who believe in the restoration who do not belong to the mainstream LDS/Utah church. The internet is a great way to bring us all together, believers in the BoM and the mission of JS. I would be interested to know how many are here from the different restoration/splinter groups.RaVaN wrote:I was raised in the restoration with the Church of Christ (TL), also known as "hedrickites".

Re: Hello
It would be brother. It is important for people to know background like that to avoid confusion in religious discussions and to avoid stepping on toes since this is specificly a LDS site that I am a guest on and may have differences in views on somethings. My point being to avoid causing contention. I want to learn and discuss.

Welcome, RaVan. I hope you'll have a great experience on this forum. We're all God's children, and we LDS believe there is truth everywhere, some to be yet discovered and shared.RaVaN wrote:It would be brother. I worked in Minnesota some years back, I think it was 1998, and at 40 below -0- I was told it was a mild winter.
Been to Memphis once. We left Minnesota for a week's vacation, during which time we went through the new temple's open house prior to its dedication. Being on a tight schedule, we didn't see that much of the city, however.

I thought the twin cities were nice, made some friends while there. My wife and I played Cribbage with some wonderful people in their nineties at the time. Both are passed on now.

They were joking. 1997-1998 was one of the harder winters that have been around in a while. I was at Camp Ripley at the time doing winter training. For a Tennessean, wandering in snow up to my armpits feeling for firewood was not one of my more favorite experiences...but it was a good learning experience.

Wlecome, nice to e-meet you.
As you suggest we are definitely living in "interesting""times. Feel free to state an opinion or pose questions about prophecy. I'm sure you'll begin an interesting discussion.
