The quakes are happening right in the middle of major oil
and freight transit sea lanes, the busiest in the world.

The earthquake swarm location is at a tectonic boundary
region where the Arabia plated meets the Somalia plate
and the Nubia plate. A string of volcanoes are in the vicinity.

Still nothing at all in the news.

Hi All:

Look at this impressive series of "earthquakes"
ongoing in Yemen over the last 24 hours. And
there's absolutely NOTHING in the news about
them so far.

A very ominous sign, especially since Yemen
is now the most likely site from which it is
believed that a nuclear terrorist attack against
the US could be launched in the very near future.

Al Quaeda allegedly has one or more tactical
nuclear weapons (the size a suicide bomber
would use to take out a city) stored in Yemen.

So are these really earthquakes going on, or
something else? I think we'll find out VERY
shortly!

The count for the Yemen earthquake cluster is now 46, in the last day and a half. The clusters I normally see fall under two categories:
(1) a single large event, followed by many smaller events, or
(2) a cluster of small events, almost always under 3.5 or so

Anybody have a theory on this cluster?

One more earthquake, a bit over a day later. This still looks odd. Aftershocks are typically less strong than initial episodes, but this one is 5.0, just like most of the others.

It's not the same area, but is close. Two of the three are at almost exactly the same depth as the Yemen cluster, and, again, no aftershocks.
It seems like the HAARP technology just shakes loose what energy is built up, which naturally has aftershocks, as well. Anybody informed on that technology?
Logically, to me, these earthquakes (above) and the Yemen cluster seem to indicate explosions or weapons testing.
Does anybody know? Have you heard anything?

IMO, the Yemen quakes look suspiciously like testing -- shallow at about 10 km, sudden onset, etc...

Today --

A 6.9-magnitude earthquake hit the southern coast of Japan on Tuesday, causing the buildings in downtown Tokyo to sway and quiver.
The tremor occurred at 12:25 in the afternoon (local time), with the epicenter at about 800 kilometers (500 miles) south of Ogasawara Islands. Its depth was recorded at 480 kilometers (300 miles).
According to the country’s meteorological agency, they have not received reports of damaged houses and infrastructures or any person killed or injured. They have not issued a tsunami warning.
Japan is among the world’s most earthquake-prone nations. A 7.2-magnitude earthquake in 1995 killed more than 6,000 people in the city of Kobe.

Can anyone explain how if HAARP is located in Alaska, its power can be directed to locations thousands of miles away? I'm just interested in hearing the science behind it because I don't see how they can direct HAARP's power to a locale like Haiti or Yemen? And what would be the purpose of setting off earthquakes in these areas?

Based on the research I've done, I'd say that EQ generation by HAARP is highly unlikely. In particular, the coupling of radio waves to several miles down is very weak.

OTOH, it could well be done with two (or more) ultrasound beams, focused on a fault zone (in the case of triggering a big earthquake). The approach would be to use Resonance, driving the fault at its natural frequency (like breaking a crystal glass with a loud sound, at the natural resonance frequency).

In Haiti, the motive might be OIL -- a huge Haitian oil deposit was announced in France in 2008... I could not find much coverage in the US. But the French scientists at the time said the Haitian oil deposit was enormous.

And -- this may not surprise you, Col Flagg -- there was a planned exercise for Haiti for the time the earthquake hit, with equipment at the ready in Miami the day BEFORE the EQ hit in January, 2010. I have references on that if desired.

Right after the quake, the US military moved in... and they're still there...

A tsunami alert has been issued after a 7.4-magnitude earthquake in the Pacific Ocean off southern Japan, the US Geological Survey (USGS) says.

The epicentre of the earthquake was 155km (95 miles) off the Bonin Islands, some 1,000km south-east of Tokyo, the USGS said.

It struck at a depth of nearly 15km, the agency added, at around 0220 (1720GMT).

Japan is well-prepared for quakes which often hit the seismically active area.

In 1995, a magnitude-7.2 quake in the port city of Kobe killed 6,400 people.

There were no reports of casualties or damage in the latest earthquake, but a mild tsunami warning was issued for nearby islands.

Japan's meteorological agency warned the quake could cause waves about a metre (3.3ft) high, and local TV broadcasts warned coastal inhabitants to seek safety on higher ground.

Known in Japan as the Ogasawara Group, the Bonin archipelago comprises some 30 tropical or sub-tropical islands, only two of which are populated.

They are inhabited by around 2,500 people.

So did he predict it before or after the big earthquake in the Japan region? Article has this afternoon's date....earthquake was earlier this morning (depending on what time zone the article was recorded in)....

Throughout my many travels, one place I visited for a very short time was one of the islands in the Bonin Island group, close to that big earthquake. At that time the islands were a U.S. protectorate. The islands are sub tropical, which to me means they're far more comfortable than tropical islands with their heat.

I could easily live on one of those islands, but Jo would have nothing to do with it, I tried the Alaska panhandle, she got excited over that idea, but when it come time to move she backed out. Wanted to stay in Genola.

So here I am, now I'm not willing to move, and there's 14 inches of snow outside--not at all subtropical, but here is where I die. Jo's just up the street---

What is interesting is to see if there is a correlation between HAARP activity and major earthquakes. There was a major Earthquake in Iran yesterday of a magnitude about 6.5 about 1800 UTC. There was also ELF (Extreme Low Frequency) activity measured by Alaskan induction magnetometers yesterday leading up to the quake. The signature of HAARP/phase-array/ELF activity is a strong signal under 0.5 Hz.
