Greetings from Barney Fife!
Dear LDS Freedom Forumites,
I just thought I'd introduce myself. I go by the name Barney Fife. Although I don't look a thing like Don Knotts, and might consider him a better shot than I am, I hope I can be as likeable as he is here in this forum.
I'm a pretty private person, and typically shun spotlights. I have been a student of LDS prophecy since 1976, and created one of the first online forums dedicated to the serious study of LDS prophecy back in 1996.
I also own a blog, where I can archive and share my musings on how we, individually and collectively, might grow closer to the Lord.
I look forward to meeting you either electronically or in person, and wish you well in your journey back to the Lord.

Re: Greetings from Barney Fife!
Thanks everybody for the warm welcome!
It feels so nice to be among people who appreciate these profound (or as my friend Spencer would call them, "delicious") truths.
Hopefully, I will be able to learn much from all of you -- and perhaps share a thought or two -- in your "Approaching The Heavenly Gift" subforum. I've requested permission to join, but so far, nothing. Maybe I have to be subscribed for a certain length of time before, or someone else is supposed to refer me?
Ahhh, the joys of being the new guy...

Welcome,
I thought I recognized you as well from the AVOW website. I haven't lurked there in a while. There was too much doom & gloom and endless predictions over there for me. Lurking's better here

I really enjoyed your 10 characteristics of C&E posts. I found them last week and passed them along. Good to see you here.

Re: Greetings from Barney Fife!
It's an LDS-aligned, for-profit "forum" for temporal preparedness.
Personally, I do not recommend it to my friends. Not anymore. I'll just leave it at that.

Re: Greetings from Barney Fife!
Those who know me here would testify that I look nothing like him.
However, when asked if I behave like him, they likely would start spouting off phrases like "ummm, errr" and "I plead the 5th".

Dissapointing, I never could resist a man in a uniform.Barney Fife wrote:Those who know me here would testify that I look nothing like him.

Posted.
Interestingly, I''d been waiting for it too for about a week and a half. Then it came down pretty fast and with great clarity Saturday (2 days ago), and I posted it. Bottom line: sometimes you can't force these things (LOL especially significant topics concerning entering the divine presence for which there is only scant information written).

Re: Greetings from Barney Fife!
I'm honored...and, yes, a little concerned about your mental status (if I am indeed your mentor). My dad is a clinical psychologist. Maybe I can hook you guys up sometime! :D
LDSFFers: my friend Daryl here is a good man who specializes in making lawns green and healthy in the middle of the Arizona sun -- truly a miracle worker in my book. He's also recently undergone quite a bit of persecution and harsh statements over on a "forum which must not be named". I promised him that you guys know how to behave and are all translated beings disguised as telestials.
