Do you support adding new states or is 50 enough?
I was thinking about the immigration issue and how small the original 13 colonies were. Alaska is going to celebrate it's 50 year anniversary next January. We have a rich history of adding new territory including Mexican territory (or perhaps we should say disputed territory).
What do you think about new states? What if a Mexican state wanted to join the union? A Canadian one?

Is the North American Union really such a bad thing if it sticks to our Constitution? I don't think so.

If all countries adopted the constitution, including our country, then the whole earth could be as one country with many states. I would be fine with that.
Our friend from Australia might have issues!!

I wish it would work like that, but we all know destroying the Constitution is already what they are doing so letting freedom spread, oh that would be horrendous.. after all, people need an elite to govern them, they need someone to tell them what to do!! (sarc)

The short go doesn't look that good, but in the long haul I think we'll pull it off!

I didn't vote because I think the only way I could approve of increasing the number of states is by dividing existing states where the citizens of those states want to split. Back in the '50's there was talk of splitting California because of political differences between North and South.
My family is from Canada, and I've never met a Canadian anywhere who was anxious about all or any part of Canada becoming part of the USA. And I want no union with Mexico because of its culture, language, and corruption. But according to certain investigative reporters, the North American Union is intended to be an economic, political and military union of Canada, the USA, and Mexico, and will be a further intended subversion of the US Constitution.

Lundbaek, I think you are off base on that. We've never been a nation that has kept people out based on language and culture. Corruption is another thing. We are all immigrants here. I'll take anyone who wants to carry the cause of liberty which in my opinion should be the primary measure.

It also has been talked a lot during the 90's, but it never went anywhere for 2 reasons:Back in the '50's there was talk of splitting California because of political differences between North and South.
1) If you divided California up, whether in North and South, or North-Central-South, you would give the Democrats a guaranteed 2-4 new senators.
2) California politicians like too much the fact that 54 members of Congress gives them a huge edge in budget issues, as does 270 electoral votes gives large influence in presidential elections (remember, they are not thinking of PTB and kingmakers here).
