Over the weekend I read an article in the paper speculating who will get the Mormon vote now that Romney has dropped out: Mcain or Huckabee. The article sited that Mormons are cold towards MCain and icy towards Huckabee. There was no mention whatsoever about Ron Paul, though in my opinion Dr. Paul is the ONLY candidate that truly upholds the Latter Day Saint values.
I would like to form a meet up group of LDS (and non-LDS are welcome too, of course) that support Ron Paul. I believe that if we teach are neighbors, family and friends about the issues and about Ron Paul that they will do as I did: Check him out and be "converted"( for lack of a better term) to his candidacy.
We cannot in good conscience cast our votes for Mcain, Huckabee, Clinton, etc. There is no "lesser" of two evils in this race. Evil is evil, no matter what form it is in. Who do YOU think will get the mormon vote? The outcome is not pretty. As Latter Day Saints we are instructed to be educated, and to stand for righteousness. It is our heritage to fight for the cause of Christ without compromise.
I propose setting a date and having key speakers to instruct and direct us. We will be discussing topics like the constitution, the proper role of government, the Federal Reserve etc with a vision and purpose to warn and educate our family, friends and neighbors, and to draw support for the only candidate worthy of our vote and support. Ron Paul.
If you are interested please reply to this posting with your email and I will contact you directly.
With Love,
Evey
