Here We Grow Again. IAP Once Again the Fastest Growing Party in Nevada!

Well the new numbers are in and we JUST missed 50,000. The total number of Register voters that are IAP, according to the Secretary of State’s Website is…Drum roll please… 49,821.

In this non-election year we grew by 4,876.

That is a 10% increase. This means that the Independent American Party is by FAR the fasting growing political party, percentage wise, in Nevada!

Pretty impressive when you consider the following numbers:

The Democrats increased by just less than 6%

The Republicans increased by less than 3%

The Libertarians lost 30 voters so had NO increase.

The Green party gained 0% with a total of 9 new voters.

The Non-partisans (no party) grew by just under 4%

Welcome Welcome all you new Independent Americans! I look forward to meeting every single one of you.

How do you compare the Constitution Party? Libertarians? Greens?

Who is your candidate for President?

We are the Nevada affiliate of the Constitution Party. We were founded by my brother in the 1960s so that was 30 years before the Taxpayers party which later became the Constitution Party.

We currently do not have a Presidential candidate.

The preamble says it all.

Preamble and Declaration

This platform is a statement about who we are and what we believe as Independent Americans. It is not just about law, but a greater belief in things that will lead to the happiness and prosperity of mankind as a whole. Though we ask these things of our state and our nation, these basic principles should proclaim liberty wherever they are read and it is our deepest hope that this can serve as a template and a vision for anyone desiring to undertake the cause of liberty.
Who We Are

Our party is named for who we are. We are Independent Americans. There is no claim that we are “conservative” nor that we are “liberal.” These two words have, over time, become meaningless labels extolled to the American people by the two major political parties in an effort to create the illusion that Americans have but two political choices: an evil and a lesser evil.

The Republican Party and the Democratic Party are nothing but shades of the same colors: red like the blood they have spilled, green like the money that they worship and black like the ashes they have made of the God-inspired documents given to us by our founders. We must come to understand what Martin Luther King, Jr. realized in his own struggle with the political powers of America decades ago when he stated, “We must face the appalling fact that we have been betrayed by both the Democratic and Republican Parties.”

Whether it be illegal immigrants working to supplant us in our own homes, foreign nations eroding the standard of living of the common worker, multinational corporations exploiting that very same erosion for their own profit, or international banking interests working to supersede all government, the true commonality that unifies the two major parties as a single political monopoly is their willingness to sell their people’s birthright for a mess of pottage. America’s sons and daughters have been betrayed. It is time that we, the children of patriots, awake to a sense of our awful situation and cast out the corrupt and the tyrannical from our houses of representation.

The Independent American Party binds its foundation to principles deeper than the vague concepts of “conservatism” or “liberalism,” philosophies that have, over the history of this nation, changed their appearance with all the guile of a doppelgänger. These words’ meanings change with the smallest social and economic breeze, synonymous now with oppression, theft and war—the antitheses of liberty, charity and peace.

Our philosophy is the timeless truth of liberty inherent in the Constitution of the United States of America and the wisdom given to the great men that assembled that sacred document at the direction of Nature’s God.

Our label is that of Independent Americans, free and sovereign unto ourselves; we are the masters, not the servants, of the American government.
A Nation of Virtue

Without societal virtue, a nation cannot be free. John Adams said, “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

A free people is a self-governing people. A self-governing people is a moral people. Without charity, restraint, temperance, diligence and personal responsibility, a nation cannot be free. A people must control and govern themselves and their respective passions; otherwise, they will most certainly find themselves controlled and governed by others. No law and no philosophy can keep a nation free if it refuses to accept the responsibilities and duties that go hand in hand with liberty.

While it is commonplace in our current political climate to say that morality has no place in law or that law is somehow based in vague relativism, the Maxims of Law declare clearly that, “Jus est ars boni et aequi. (Law is the science of what is good and evil.)” All law makes some kind of moral decision. It is for this very reason that law must be passed carefully, sparingly and with as much scrutiny as can reasonably be applied. As C. S. Lewis wrote, “Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

In order to avoid this danger and make law that is congruent with a free society, law must be balanced properly with another maxim, “Quod alias bonum et justum est, si per vim vel fraudem petatur, malum et injustum efficitur. (What is otherwise good and just, if sought by force or fraud, becomes bad and unjust.)”

Acts which are truly virtuous cannot be forced upon us by the government. Furthermore, those acts should not be robbed from us by that very same government either.
States’ Rights

The aforementioned balance cannot be, nor should it be, specifically quantified by a single governing body. Our nation is, and has been from its inception, composed of individual governing bodies—the states—within an expanded framework, the Federal Government. The sovereignty and individuality of the states are just as important, if not more so, to the separation of powers doctrine than the three branches of the Federal Government.

Each state is known for its distinct culture, traditions, history, idiosyncrasies and people. The true genius of America is its ability to accommodate these differences and allow them to work together to maintain a single stable nation. Most issues handled by government should be handled by the states, as they are better suited to meet the specific and individual needs of their citizens. Certain states require laws that others don’t, and the views of the populace vary from state to state. This is as it should be.

In the present day, the role of the state in our government has been crippled significantly when compared to its part at the formation of our nation. This has been in part due to Federal power grabs; however, the domination of the two party monopoly is no less responsible for this decline. It is time that the state governments free themselves of the shackles of Federal funding, unconstitutional Federal mandates and the dictates of the national parties, and instead do what they were supposed to do, attend to the needs of their citizens.

Every time we allow the Federal Government to encroach on the power and authority of the states, we consolidate more and more power into the hands of a single governing body. This is both dangerous and unwise. It is contradictory to the ideals set forth in the Constitution of the United States, specifically noted in the Article X of the Bill of Rights, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
A Glorious Standard

The Constitution of the United States of America is a glorious standard. It was founded in the wisdom of our Creator. It is the only standard that the Federal Government should adhere to. However, just as the meanings of the words “conservative” and “liberal” have undergone such a mutation that they are alien to their meaning two centuries ago, there are those who have tried to subvert the Constitution through the use of similar tactics.

The words that compose the Constitution must be read within their original context and with the proper meaning, otherwise this glorious standard is all for naught. As James Madison said, “I entirely concur in the propriety of resorting to the sense in which the Constitution was accepted and ratified by the nation. In that sense alone it is the legitimate Constitution… What a metamorphosis would be produced in the code of law if all its ancient phraseology were to be taken in the modern sense.” He further stated, “On every question of construction [of the Constitution] let us carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or intended against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed.”

The idea that the Constitution, or any other legal document, is a “living, breathing document” that should be interpreted using today’s language is an idea that is foolish at best and traitorous at worst. This was not the intention of the founders nor is it prudent for people, no matter what their agenda, to try and redefine archaic language to suit their modern needs. Any law, court decision, executive order or utterance from any branch of government that does not conform to that strict interpretation is repugnant to the American people as a whole.

The founders allowed for the Constitution to be amended in the event that modifying it or adding to it became necessary. This is the only proper and prudent method of changing the Constitution. All other methods, including the subversion of original lexicon, are the tools of those who believe the law is their own personal weapon rather than a shield to protect the rights of the people.
The Encroachment of American Feudalism

Of the most insidious enemies of American liberty particularly guilty of using the law as their weapon against the American people are multinational corporations and monolithic banking conglomerates. In his farewell address, Andrew Jackson warned of the dangers of these opponents of freedom, “Unless you become more watchful in your States and check this spirit of monopoly and thirst for exclusive privileges you will in the end find that the most important powers of Government have been given or bartered away, and the control of your dearest interests have been passed into the hands of these corporations.”

Small businesses are a cornerstone of free societies. The ability for people to own their own business, contribute to the local economy and make a fair wage is essential to the liberty of the nation as a whole. Laws protecting our rights are of no worth if we are merely corporate slaves to monopolistic businesses. Strict financial and other legal regulations for the modern business have made it nearly impossible for a small business to both compete with large corporations and comply with all local and Federal laws.

Regulations supposedly made to protect the American worker have, in great part, served only to do so by depriving Americans of jobs. Our manufacturing power has left these borders for cheaper, less regulated nations. Corporate lobbyists have, on one hand, pushed for laws that over-regulate and suffocate small business while simultaneously breaking down protective tariffs and trade restrictions on countries that condone slave labor. It’s good for profit margins but cancerous for local and global liberty. What we once mourned as the “company store” has taken on new names like Wal-Mart, Exxon and Haliburton.

Abraham Lincoln warned, “I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country… corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.”

Fifty years ago, on average, a family had a higher standard of living with a single working parent than a family does now with both parents working. This is not progress. This is not liberty. Small business in America must be protected and deregulated while multinational corporations feel the sting of trade restrictions and tariffs that stop them from promoting the use of slave labor anywhere in the world. A nation cannot call itself a bastion of freedom if its way of life depends on the labor of slaves—a lesson this country should have learned already.
Foreign Invasion

The overregulation of business has not only created a global market for slave labor, but within our own country has created an atmosphere that is inviting cheap illegal labor. A law-abiding citizen in this country has become too expensive and regulated for many businesses. With weak regulations and complete inaction on the part of the two major parties, the risk of using illegal aliens for business is significantly cheaper than hiring Americans, whether native citizens or legal immigrants.

Illegal immigrants have been pouring in from all over the globe; however, no single country has encouraged and promoted mass illegal immigration like Mexico. It has become a form of warfare against The United States of America, and many militant groups from Mexico have made it publicly known that it is their intention to “take back” a part of the United States. This is sedition and cannot be tolerated in any way.

Our borders must be protected. Our military must be brought home from its foreign outposts in over 100 other nations and be placed, at least in part, on the borders of our own country. Our territory, culture and language must be protected from these invaders who, unlike many of our own immigrant ancestors who came to world’s greatest melting pot to become Americans, are coming en masse to usurp and overthrow what is America.

No accommodations should be made for illegal immigrants. No government benefits whatsoever should be extended to them. Most importantly, no language but the American English language should be allowed for any law, public sign, public building, public document or anything funded by Federal or state governments. Law, to remain precise, interpreted and enforced fairly, must be codified in a single language.

While this war has raged on in the work places and communities of many Americans and as jobs have been lost and benefits denied to rightful citizens, the two major parties have done nothing but continue to invite illegal immigrants over the borders. The reason for this can be found in a statement by Alan Greenspan, who was Chairman of the Federal Reserve when this statement was made in 2003, “As you know, the aging of the population in the United States will have significant effects on our fiscal situation. In particular, it makes our social security and Medicare programs unsustainable in the long run, short of a major increase in immigration rates, a dramatic acceleration in productivity growth well beyond historical experience, a significant increase in the age of eligibility for benefits, or the use of general revenues to fund benefits.”
The Head of the Beast

Thomas Jefferson admonished, “I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies… If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks]… will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered… The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.”

Congress, controlled by both the major parties, has abdicated its Constitutional duty to control the money supply of the United States of America set forth in Article I, Section 8, Clause 5 of the Constitution which states, “[The Congress shall have Power] To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;” This power, since 1913, has been unconstitutionally handed over to the Federal Reserve, a private bank and corporation. Since then, America has started down the road Jefferson feared.

The Federal Reserve exemplifies the power private institutions hold over our government. By the Fed’s word, our government turns a blind eye to illegal immigration, lets the IRS run rampant to steal from the nation, tracks Americans with the Social Security Number and sends the young away from home to fight in foreign wars. The Federal Reserve is the heart of darkness in America; it must be abolished.

The IRS and Social Security Administration have worked in tandem since their formation to deprive Americans of their rights and their liberties under the guise of prosperity and protection. One of these hands has served to pick the pockets of all hard-working citizens, and the other has crafted a government-mandated Ponzi scheme designed to force the elderly to feast upon the fruits of their own posterity.

In the Declaration of Taking Up Arms of 1775 the colonial representatives wrote, “We cannot endure the infamy and guilt of resigning succeeding generations to that wretchedness which inevitably awaits them, if we basely entail hereditary bondage upon them.” Like our forefathers we must reject these chains and put the welfare and liberty of our children and the whole of our posterity before ourselves. To do this we must, with reason and prudence, abolish the IRS and cease to mark our children with the Social Security Number.

The road does not end there, however. All of the socialist programs that have served to tax us into bondage must be abolished. We must return to self-reliance and put our trust in the Creator for our daily bread and not in government benefits. We must give heed to the words of John F. Kennedy who said, “And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world, ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man. Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us here the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God’s work must truly be our own.”
In God We Trust

As the Declaration of Independence states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” The most important realization an American, or any free man for that matter, can make is that rights are not gifts bestowed on us by any government or any earthly body. Unalienable Rights are the most precious gifts bestowed upon us by a loving and benevolent God. If rights are given an earthly origin then rights can reasonably be retracted by an earthly government. This is why we must put our most sincere trust and supplication in the God that gave us life and liberty.

Noah Webster wrote, “If there is a possibility of founding a perfectly free government, and giving it permanent duration, it must be raised upon the pure maxims, and supported by the undecaying practice, of that religion, which breathes ‘peace on earth, and good will to men.’ That religion is perfectly republican… it is calculated to humble the pride and allay the discontents of men… it restrains the magistrate from oppression, and the subject from revolt… it secures a perfect equality of rights, by enjoining a discharge of all social duties, and a strict subordination to law. The universal prevalence of that religion, in its true spirit, would banish tyranny from the earth. Yet this religion has been perverted, and in many countries, made the basis of a system of ecclesiastical domination, which has enslaved the minds of men, as political power had before enslaved their bodies. To correct these evils, a set of fanatical reformers, called philosophers, charging that oppression to the religion itself, which sprung only from its abuses, have boldly denied the sacred origin of Christianity, and attempted to extirpate its doctrines and institutions. Strange, indeed, that the zealous advocates of a republican government, should wage an inveterate war against the only system of religious principles, compatible with rational freedom, and calculated to maintain a republican constitution!”

The Independent American Party was formed within the teachings of primitive Christianity with the goal of bringing our government to the full realization of its origin. While our party’s principles are firmly rooted in these timeless teachings and truths, our doors are open to all men and women who have a desire to be free and accept with their rights all the responsibilities also conferred upon them.

The heart of our platform, our party and our direction for America can best be stated in these simple words: “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” — Galatians 5:13-14

Any chance of getting Jerome Corsi or Ron Paul as Pres. candidate this year?

I know that the Missouri Constitution Party and the Libertarian Party are holding spaces open for him if he chose to do it. (Ron Paul)

I recently found out that my father and stepmom are members of the IAP and I did not know that! After this delegate process is over..

We are not as radical as the Constitution Party on Abortion. We follow the LDS position on abortion which is the most widely held view on Abortion in the USA. Abortions ONLY in the case of Rape, incest and life or extreme health risk of the mother. Also it must be on a State level. The Feds can have NOTHING to do with it. We also have a little more Western view. More on the BLM etc. than the Eastern parts of the party.

We are working on both of them. It looks like Corsi will be speaking at our state convention in Reno in early May.

Are you sure they are not with the AIP Charity? I didn't know that the IAP was in Utah.

The IAP is in Utah but they do little to zip. The only active and growing IAP in the Nation in in Nevada.
