State of the Union tonight (what we'll definitely hear)

Post by Col. Flagg »

This is a guarantee for the state of the union address tonight:

"The state of our union is STRONG", at which point, the whole chamber will erupt with applause and shouts of agreement. :x :P What we'll also hear will be a nauseating theatrical embelishment of the real truth. If anyone needs manure for their yard for spring, just tape the state of the union tonight and you'll have plenty!

Yes.

Can you imagine if the President was honest what it would sound like?

My fellow Americans,
May the God of our nation that we have heeded not have mercy upon our bloodthirsty and money grubbing souls...

Keep in mind the president is just a script reader. And pay careful attention to any hint that he will initiate executive decisions and/or signing statements to by-pass Congress if he does not get the cooperation he will demand.

I agree Col. Flagg.

Here are my guesses on what we will hear tonight from our current dictatorship...I mean administration.

I bet he mentions Iran and how they are a nuclear threat that needs to be attacked...I mean marginalized.

Of course, along with Iran, he has to mention muslim extremists and/or a combo of the admins favorite scare tactic propaganda words of terrorists/terror/terrorism/nine-eleven. (Did I hear Rudy say something???)

These are musts for any dictatorship/nwo/globalist tyranny to grow - they need to keep feeding our FEAR.
A tyrant, at first, is full of smiles and makes promises in public and private liberating debtors. He is always stirring up some war or other; in order that the people may require a leader…He also has another object, which is that they may be impoverished by payment of taxes, and thus compelled to devote themselves to their daily wants and therefore less likely to conspire against him. Thus liberty, getting out of all order and reason, passes into the harshest and bitterest form of slavery.” – Plato, 400 B.C., The Republic, VIII

Bush will spend most of his address offering a new theme for his economic policies while reiterating his commitment to fighting a global war on terrorism, of which he considers Iraq a central front.

The president is also expected to touch on Iran, Hurricane Katrina and the Supreme Court.

White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan told reporters this morning that the speech was in its 23rd draft and that the president was continuing to rehearse it in the White House theater.

How lovely is the marionette
with strings of golden twine
the perfect painted sainted man
who dances in perfect time.

How we laugh and cry aloud
our strings he too doth pull!
Until the worker behind the screen
disclose himself a fool!

How does this bumbling stuttering man
wield words that stir inside?
How does this foolish uttering man
the truth so fully hide?

Are we not all fools today
idling through this minstrel show?
Do we not have work to do
a grander truth to preserve to view?

(sorry about the flow being broken in the last verse, what do you expect from an on the spot 5 minute poem?)

Nice poem! I like it and I agree. I often think of him and all the public candidates as puppets. It's like a little flea circus.

Just got a news alert that states that the President is going to discuss a "meeting" with all the leaders of the US, Canada and Mexico to be held in New Orleans to discuss their progress in rebuilding there...

Ya uh huh ok.. sure....

We need to bring those leaders to discuss that kind of 'progress' it wouldn't have anything to do with oh NAFTA SH or the SPP?

Oh no, no, no, no, no... it's perfectly legitimate and within the confines of the constitution! LC... you're such a conspiracy theorist! Bush just wants what is best for us all.

LOL.

Yes, well it is no longer a theory when there is evidence. :) Just one piece of evidence makes it a possibility....

Those three countries holding a meeting altogether over Katrina is so unlikely... but they have held SPP meetings before....

LOL

I wish I had technology to eaves drop on them!

Oh, I assure you, it is still considered a conspiracy theory for the tinfoil hat crowd, proof or not.

President Bush said last night, "Tehran is also developing ballistic missiles of increasing range and continues to develop its capability to enrich uranium, which could be used to create a nuclear weapon." (It's from Niger, right? LOL)

Flashback! During the 2003 State of the Union speech, Bush said, "The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa."

Just as I suspected. The agenda of all dictators/fascist regimes is to continue to feed the fears of the "homeland" and show that an enemy wants to destroy our nation.

Which is true, an enemy wants to destroy our nation, but that "Iran" issue is the distraction as they finish their plans of destruction.

I was reading & re-reading Mormon Chs. 3 & 4 the past few days and when I was listening to President Bush last night - it seemed again that these chapters somehow relate.

3:2-3
2 And it came to pass that the Lord did say unto me: Cry unto this people—Repent ye, and come unto me, and be ye baptized, and build up again my church, and ye shall be spared.
3 And I did cry unto this people, but it was in vain; and they did not realize that it was the Lord that had spared them, and granted unto them a chance for repentance. And behold they did harden their hearts against the Lord their God.
3:9-16
9 And now, because of this great thing which my people, the Nephites, had done, they began to boast in their own strength, and began to swear before the heavens that they would avenge themselves of the blood of their brethren who had been slain by their enemies.
10 And they did aswear by the heavens, and also by the throne of God, that they bwould go up to battle against their enemies, and would cut them off from the face of the land.
11 And it came to pass that I, Mormon, did utterly refuse from this time forth to be a commander and a leader of this people, because of their wickedness and abomination.
12 Behold, I had led them, notwithstanding their wickedness I had led them many times to battle, and had loved them, according to the love of God which was in me, with all my heart; and my soul had been poured out in prayer unto my God all the day long for them; nevertheless, it was without faith, because of the chardness of their hearts.
13 And thrice have I delivered them out of the hands of their enemies, and they have repented not of their sins.
14 And when they had sworn by all that had been aforbidden them by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that they would go up unto their enemies to battle, and avenge themselves of the blood of their brethren, behold the voice of the Lord came unto me, saying:
15 Vengeance is mine, and I will brepay; and because this people repented not after I had delivered them, behold, they shall be cut off from the face of the earth.
16 And it came to pass that I utterly refused to go up against mine enemies; and I did even as the Lord had commanded me; and I did stand as an idle witness to manifest unto the world the things which I saw and heard, according to the manifestations of the Spirit which had testified of things to come.
4:4
4 And it was because the armies of the Nephites went up unto the Lamanites that they began to be smitten; for were it not for that, the Lamanites could have had no power over them.
4:18
18 And from this time forth did the Nephites gain no power over the Lamanites, but began to be swept off by them even as a dew before the sun.
Are we still being given a chance to repent, or are we moving beyond that where the consequences will start to kick in?

I think consequences...

I actually tell people that they will see them, the consequences of being a warring nation.
