Charity references for Mark's daughter

Post by Mark »

Speaking of doctrinal purity my youngest leaves for her mission soon and needs to prepare a talk on Charity for her send off. I figured my forum buddies could give some great insights and stories on charity that might relieve her stress levels a bit. Hows that for passing the buck? :)) Actually I could use some good charity info myself to help elevate my mind. Any favorite thoughts?

Charity is long suffering - therefore, LDSFF is providing an invaluable opportunity to learn this critical talent. :D

Moroni teaches us a profound lesson in Moroni chapter 7 about charity.

More helpful resources:

Prepare a talk
charity

My wife loves using Sugardoodle for preparing lessons. I did a search on there for "charity"

Sugardoodle-charity

Hope this helps.

As for doctrinal purity, I honestly don't see a need for a discussion. Christ teaches us that anything less is not of Him.

Mark you should read John Pontius' book- Following the Light of Christ into His Presense. It has some great insight in it. You could probably find some of it on his blog as well.

I am reading The Triumph of Zion from Bro. Pontius and have enjoyed it immensely. I look forward to his other books including the one you mentioned reese. I feel uplifted and spiritually energized after reading his stuff.

Charity must be one of the most important things for us to have. Every prophet in the BoM mentions it.

Your daughter will make the most impact by relating actual stories and examples of charity.
