This is a poem that I wrote to help my son read the Book of Mormon. hope you enjoy it.
feel free to add, correct were you like.

Now Lehi said by his bed
that Jerusalem was dead.
And he was told, not to stay
because of the wicked path, that they lay.

So off, was he sent.
But two sons they did vent.
Yet another like an angel went.
And he did do, the things that he knew
to be true.

Nephi was the son you see
who kept the commandments,
as should we.

On plates of gold he did write,
to always keep within his sight,
the laws of God,
that he would mould,
a character true and bold.

By the spirit he was led.

Up a mountain he did climb
which did take him quite sometime.
at the top he did stop, and the lord He would show,
the very way they should go.

A Land far across the sea
where others before had taken the Bee.

So on a boat they did float.
Of a plan not from man
did they board with one accord
those who love to praise the Lord.

To a land of Liberty
where they were promised to be free.

Yet as you know, some would go,
and just like Nephi's broken bow
They would Brake and forsake
The Lord their God on that Lake.

Now the journey, that they had,
was mixed with some sad and glad.

They were tossed too and fro
and four days, back they go
as a mighty wind did blow.

Needles spinning on a ball, curious that's for sure
yet without a seed of faith
Not to work at all.

So Laman and Lemuel they did fall
To Nephi's hand was their call.
Save us now we do pray
or we lose this very day.
And it came to pass that way.

At it's end all would bend
and praise their God on promised shod.

Very nice! How old is your son? Great signature, too!

He is now 17, I wrote it to him when he was 12. the signature I heard in a talk some time ago by a GA and then heard it in the film gladiator.
