Yesterday, (Wed) I was talking to a property manager about home rentals available for my fiancee. He said this winter has been unusually busy, with 40-50 calls per day. He said the housing crisis is the culprit, with so many foreclosures happening, people forced out of their homes and not being able to buy another home for 3-5 years.
Bad part is, most of the homes are owned by investors, many from California, whose "investment gurus" told them "the worse thing you can do is to allow pets."
Sucks for those of us who love animals.

Seeing the two tent cities and knowing that we still have two quarters where ARMS adjust to go (maybe more), it is far from over.
I have noticed that the rentals in the city are going higher, and the ones in lower populated areas are getting lower, and even left completely unrented. Seems a lot of people think that being in the city will be more affordable.
When the time is right, we will be leaving the city. I think the cost of staying in it is higher in other ways.
