I thought I'd introduce myself. I found this forum on another blog where a poster suggested the Approaching the Heavenly Gift board.
I was born in the church, but became truly converted at 18 while at BYU while studying the Book of Mormon daily. I served a mission in Sweden. Returned and completed my degree at BYU, married in the St. George Temple, went to law school, and am now raising my 2 children (with one more on the way).
I am aware of many of the "problems" with the church that have led many people astray. I've never been afraid of anti-mormons or ex-mormons and their points. I may perhaps be a little unorthodox in that I don't refuse to read such material. Every trial of my faith has been met with a witness of the truth of the gospel after the trial has been endured.
I will probably mostly be reading what other people think. I find that I am frequently edified by the thoughts of others, though I rarely feel called to teach outside of my family.

Re: My Introduction
Welcome! I respect your thought on anti material. I come across it once in a while and might peruse for information's sake, but I tend to spend all my "study" time deep in Isaiah's writings, The Book of Mormon, or other church/gospel related material. I seldom (actually never) learn line upon line, precept upon precept from reading anti/other literature. Only light cleaves to light.
My two cents.
