What is the difference between not going by the arm of flesh, and reading scripture and accepting the words therein? They were written by the arm of flesh, unless they were all ghosts. :))

For some the difference between inspired writing and uninspired writing is not obvious. But for some it is. Might have something to do with spirituality.

Therefore, one can only conclude that listening to those wearing sheep's clothing yet are raving wolves are the only arm of flesh to be avoided. Those who love God and his teachings and impart those truths are also arm of flesh yet are not raving wolves. Thus, let's pay heed to the words of true prophets and anyone not full of guesses, theory and deceit. When we're told not to listen to the arm of flesh, it only means to not pay heed to those not seeking God's will, nor the welfare of Zion. Those whose words appear to be close to God, but their hearts are far from Him. It's in the book.
The arm of flesh can be of use in the right setting, spiritual and backed by the Holy Ghost, that is.

For what shepherd is there among you having many sheep doth not watch over them, that the wolves enter not and devour his flock? And behold, if a wolf enter his flock doth he not drive him out? Yea, and at the last, if he can, he will destroy him.
And now I say unto you that the good shepherd doth call after you; and if you will hearken unto his voice he will bring you into his fold, and ye are his sheep; and he commandeth you that ye suffer no ravenous wolf to enter among you, that ye may not be destroyed.

Alan Waterman is an APOSTATE. Pure and simple.
As far as I am concerned they waited too long to excommunicate him.

Hey, Jason, what brought this on after all these months. What are your thoughts behind the scriptures quotes? It's a very interesting quote. Love it!

Do most Mormon's have a FIST? Or did you simply make a mistake in your signature line?
BTW, welcome to the forum.

Now this man went over to the land of Jershon also, to preach these things among the people of Ammon, who were once the people of the Lamanites.
But behold they were more wise than many of the Nephites; for they took him, and bound him, and carried him before Ammon, who was a high priest over that people.
And it came to pass that he caused that he should be carried out of the land.
Alma 30

So without going to the book, we see that a wolf came among some sheep and began to teach trash, so the wolf was taken and booted out of the land. And yet this forum thrives with doctrine not in conjunction with scripture, right. Weird. Or am I assuming too much?
