How often do we pray?

I read this article on my mission twenty some years ago and it really made an impact in my life. I am thankful that the church has archived all its articles, talks, etc. I can go way back to find old articles from church magazines like the Ensign from the '70s that I have kept in a folder. Anyway, here it is. I hope it changes your life too.

“Yea, and when you do not cry unto the Lord, let your hearts be full, drawn out in prayer unto him continually for your welfare, and also for the welfare of those who are around you.”

I am often talking to him. I don't really talk to myself anymore. I do think that women do this more. Probably because we tend to talk more.

Me too! I talk to Him all day in my mind and heart, not just when I am on my knees!

This has been a new journey for me. There is a vast difference between simply saying a daily prayer, being drawn out continually in prayer, and then there's coming unto the Lord in prayer--the kind of prayer where you struggle in spirit, fast for days, broken heart and contrite spirit, wrestle with the Lord kind of prayer. Very few understand this kind of prayer. I am barely scratching the surface.
