Hello Everyone

I have recently joined the Latter-day Conservative forum and look forward to engaging discussions with other faithful Latter-day Saints about issues of great importance. I wish we could discuss such issues more freely in Sunday school classes or in priesthood meetings, but I understand why this would be inappropriate in most cases.
I am interested in fair and thorough examination of topics that matter to me. When reasonable doubt exists, I am not troubled by the need to rely upon faith for support. As many who contribute here are likely to agree, true faith is not the "weak" way out of an argument (distinguishing between true faith and a lack of desire to study the questions out in our own minds).
In viewing the problems of the day, I often think of a Chronicles of Narnia analogy. We do indeed have tremendous problems before us, but the witch does not understand the deep magic. The windy, turbulent surface waters hide but cannot overpower currents that are driven by global purposes.
I look forward to contributing!
