It is amazing how like the Jews at the time of Christ we have become. We can make the law so complex can we not? Just pay your tithing and allow the Lord to open the windows of heaven. Do what you feel is right.
If you make the decision based on money, you are showing who your master is. Follow the spirit of the law, and you will prove who your master is.

I guess you can just save it up and wait to see Melchizedek.

are you saying we should just give it away, or the church should just give the money away
are you saying we are focussing too much on possessions, or the law says shut up and don't question authority?
yes like the jews, but then maybe they were just like every other culture and debased generation?
maybe the nephites were no different to them, us, every other indulgant culture

I am saying trust the spirit and don't over think it. If you make your decision on financial terms you are proclaiming who your god is in that decision. That's all. Not complex at all, but we seem to be good at making things complex.

Good point, Rand!
How we pay our tithes dictates who our god is.
If we pay tithes without knowing if it's doing God's work or not, ignorance & apathy may be a part.
If we pay tithes in ways that are financially transparent, we know it is of God, who is light and truth.
