Please forgive me if I have done this already. I am not great with the social media, but I try.
It was good to see that some LDS people are interested in politics. I've been told in my stake to not discuss politics. Needless to say, I've changed stakes.
Our future is on the line...more than most people realize.
Here is what I wrote in a handout that was distributed at the Rose Parade this year. Let me know what you think.
PLEASE WAKE-UP AMERICA!!!!
Please start educating yourself. Do not count on Congress to represent you anymore…they have their own personal agendas, which are primarily to serve the special interest groups that can put lots of money into their personal pockets. Don’t believe the network media. I have discovered a new channel called Current TV. From what I have seen thus far I feel that it does a much better job of showing things the way they really are.
I just about fell over when I heard about the 11th Amendment (also known as the McCain
Amendment) to the National Defense Authorization Bill. It gives our government the right to say an
American citizen is a threat to our country, and then to send the military in to arrest and imprison the individual, indefinitely, without a trial. I don’t know about you but that sounds pretty unconstitutional to me. This passed the Senate with a 93-7 vote!
“The Hill” is an internet publication regarding activities in Washington, D.C. Here is what was printed on 11/29/11 by Josiah Ryan:
Republican Sens. Rand Paul (Ky.) and John McCain (Ariz.) battled on the Senate floor Tuesday over a proposed amendment to the pending defense authorization bill that could allow American citizens who are suspected of terrorism to be denied a civilian trial.
Paul argued the amendment, which is cosponsored by McCain, "puts every single American citizen at risk" and suggested that if the amendment passes, "the terrorists have won."
“Should we err today and remove some of the most important checks on state power in the name of fighting terrorism, well then the terrorists have won," Paul argued, "Detaining American citizens without a court trial is not American."
McCain, however, who has spent hours of floor time in the last weeks promoting his amendment, hurried to the floor to defend it against Paul's onslaught.
"Facts are stubborn things," McCain repeated from the floor several times. "If the senator from Kentucky wants to have a situation prevail where people who are released go back in to the fight to kill Americans, he is entitled to his opinion.”
The amendment, offered by McCain, who is the ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, would technically allow the executive branch discretion on whether a terrorism suspect ought to be tried in civilian courts or the military tribunal system.
Paul fired back that his opposition to the amendment did not meant that he believed prisoners of war sitting in Guantánamo Bay ought to be released.
“I don't think it necessarily follows I am arguing of the release of prisoners,” Paul said. “I am simply arguing that particularly American citizens should not be sent to a foreign prison without due process.”
But McCain ended the conversation by suggesting the junior senator from Kentucky did not understand the gravity of the danger the U.S. faces from terrorism.
"An individual, no matter who they are, if they pose a threat to the security of the United States of America, should not be allowed to continue that threat," said McCain. " We need to take every stop necessary to prevent that from happening, that’s for the safety and security of the men and women who are out there risking their lives ... in our armed services.”
Then I found out that there was a young man in the military named Bradley Manning who became a whistle-blower. He observed video footage of our troops in action in Baghdad. Just Google “YouTube Collateral Murder” and tell me if that is the America you are proud to be a citizen of. I was outraged when I saw and heard what the helicopter pilots did. Anyone involved in the deaths of those innocent people should be put on trial and punished for their terrible acts. But do you know what our government is doing? They have held Bradley Manning at Quantico prison for 1 ½ years, stripped naked, tortured, and threatened with the death sentence for treason! In my book this young man deserves a Purple Heart for valor.
Do you like inflation? Do you know why we have it? You can read about the Federal Reserve Bank in a book called The Creature From Jeckyl Island. I will soon be uploading it to my blog entitled
SearchPonderAndPrayToday.blogspot.com. More listings will be coming in the near future so be sure to keep checking the blog.
Earlier this year I met Ted Gunderson who used to be in charge of the Los Angeles FBI. He had some incredible stories to tell. The one that was really hard for me to believe was the story of the Franklin Credit Union scandal. Google “Conspiracy of Silence YouTube” and watch the video. He said the amount of human trafficking that occurs in the United States is incredible and high ranking government officials are in on the take. I have purchased the book The Franklin Cover-Up by John DeCamp. I will be posting this book on my SearchPonderAndPrayToday.blogspot.com website soon.
Why have I all of a sudden become so politically active? It all started 2 ½ years ago when I was wrongfully accused of battery by a TSA agent at Burbank airport. Just Google “YouTube 93 TSA applesauce” and watch the story. Part of that video is fabricated to make me look guilty of committing battery. There was a tug-of-war over the cooler of food, but it happened 20 feet away from the screening area! I would have been off-screen. I never hit anyone! If you want to see a follow-up that CNN did, Google “Grandmas Kick TSA’s Butt”. It only cost me $20,000 to get the criminal case dismissed. Now I am fighting for the truth to come forth in Federal Court.
All of this just makes me sick. President John F. Kennedy made a very famous statement; he said “Ask not what your country can do for you…ask what you can do for your country.” Well, I decided to run for President of the United States in 2012.
I will not charge for my services; it would indeed be an honor to represent America the way she should be represented. I am a write-in. In fact, I am telling all of my friends to write in my name for all positions. Perhaps someone will get the message that we are not happy with “politics” as we have it today.
I am not going to do a typical campaign. If people like what they read and hear, I’m counting on them to “pass the word” via the social media. I cannot believe the amount of money that is wasted for political campaigns. I personally don’t think it is necessary.

If you want to talk with me, I am going to try to be in Los Angeles at least 2-3 times a month on the steps of the City Hall. I will post my schedule on my HaysForPresident2012.blogspot.com website. I hope we have an opportunity to meet.
I am an Occupier because I want to see humanity restored and the corruption in politics and government removed. Some tell me I am dreaming. I believe it is possible. I believe in God. I believe in miracles. With God nothing is impossible.
There are movements like Occupy going on all around the world. Check out ThriveMovement.com and 99declaration.org. Network…read…and then act accordingly. Remember these words:
"A well-instructed people alone can be perma¬nently a free people."
—James Madison
"Say ...whether peace is best preserved by giving energy to the government, or information to the people. This last is the most certain and the most legitimate engine of government. Educate and inform the whole mass of the people. Enable them to see that it is their interest to preserve peace and order, and they will preserve them. And it requires no very high degree of education to convince them of this. They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."
—Thomas Jefferson
Search – Ponder – Pray – and then act accordingly.

I'll discuss my politics whether they like it or not! The rules allow that.
