I am posting this so Brian doesn't sack me. I am what you would call a "lurker". I like to read stuff, but I don't participate in conversations much. I am an artist. I paint and create. I show my work at Art At The Main in Salt Lake City. That's how I spend most of my time. I love the gospel and I love the Book of Mormon and I love the constitution and I am a happy camper.

I have to admit to a tad bit of envy - I tried and tried to develop artistic ability, but sadly unless I am willing to commit insane amounts of time to a project - I suck pretty bad. I never tried oils, but I did a lot of pencil sketch and a couple of water colors. Youa re so lucky to have the talent!

Thank you so much. I have a long way to go, but I am enjoying the journey. I will be updating my website soon. It's at least a year out of date!

Hi Rinny glad to have a fellow artist on this forum, zculptor is a great sculptor who is also on this forum. I have done a lot of sculpting myself, and acrylic paintings....subjects like cars, scifi, fantasy stuff. And I was also born in San Francisco in 19??, ( ha ha). born in St. Mary's Hospital right at the east end of Golden Gate Park!

I checked out your website and I like your artwork, I like realistic stuff, and yours is well done. I've never tried pastels, looks like a challenge, you are obviously conquering it.

Welcome! Just jump in and start posting, but you might want to start by wearing a helmet and shoulder pads!... sometimes things can get tense.
